Fashion and the home have always been mirrors of each other.
Silk that belongs on the body, and in a room. Ivory tones that echo plaster. Plaster that carries the same softness as silk.
Glass and silver that catch the light, whether worn or placed.
Fringe, tassels, and animal print moving between garment and object.
Earlier this year, I stepped back from event planning to focus on vintage sourcing. What began with the home expanded to include clothes, jewelry, and textiles. Still highly selective, but no longer limited to a single category.
And I’ve been seeing that what I’m drawn to for the home and for the self overlaps completely, because it’s the same language.
A mannequin found its way into the studio this week, and with it, a series of wearables I’ve been waiting to share. A few new arrivals are now online. Objects I’ve been especially excited about, coming next week.
Fresh from Paris, inspired by every arch and tassel in between. Wrapped in fringe, flowing layers, and a hint of that Parisian je ne sais quoi. A YSL treasure here, a flapper inspired dress there, sculptural relief, stone, and plaster forms throughout, all echoing the city’s timeless architecture and elegance. A few new arrivals online now, with more still en route.
Sourcing often reveals its own themes. Not intentionally, but I find myself drawn to the same materials, textures, and tones again and again. Lately: silk, ivory, zebra, gold accents, and all the tassels and fringe. Some recent favorites.
Simply in love with this new arrival. Pristine 1970s Lanvin silk, originally a hostess coat, now the perfect spring layer. And March feels like the perfect moment for it.
