“Spectral Locus” (2016) Sending love and healing for the victims shot in Buffalo yesterday. We need gun control. This was racially directed hate. Having more freedom with guns has lead to more gun deaths. Ugh. This saddens me… love and healing to the citizens and victim’s families of Buffalo. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤❤️‍🩹💖💟

Join artist Amanda Browder (@browdertown ) and RAM Executive Director Robb Woulfe for a conversation about the way we engage with public spaces during Free First Friday, May 1, 6:30 – 7:00 pm! Known for her fabric installations that combine color, scale, and community to transform buildings into larger-than-life works of art, Browder will begin a limited-time residence at RAM this summer, working with local residents and guests to create a large-scale textile installation to adorn the exterior of RAM. During the conversation, she’ll share more information about this upcoming project, along with thoughts on her practice, process, and the power of collective making. Browder’s new commission, Zig and Zag, will premiere as a featured project in RAM’s inaugural In/Between Festival, September 18 – 27, 2026. Learn more about what else is happening at RAM this Free First Friday at the link in our bio. FALL 2026 - I have been awarded an “artist-in-residence” in the School of Visual and Media Arts within the College of the Arts and Media at the University of Montana. My hometown of Missoula MT! I feel so honored and grateful! ♥️🌈♥️🌈♥️ “Soft Monuments” will be up at the end of Nov/Dec. We have already made a calendar of sewing days, with the Missoula Public Library, Opportunity Resources, Inc., and the Missoula Museum of Art. More to come! I am just starting the process :-) . If you have fabric, or a sewing machine, to donate or lend, or would like to participate please feel free to contact me. :) More information will come about soon! 🌈🧵🪡

No more teasing—we can finally announce an exciting new project coming to RAM! We are thrilled to be collaborating with Amanda Browder (@browdertown ) to create a large-scale fabric installation that covers the museum exterior, as part of RAM’s inaugural In/Between Festival, September 18–27. This project will be a community endeavor, comprising of donated fabric sewed together by local residents and guests throughout the summer. From May 1 – July 1, we are accepting fabric donations at RAM and RAM’s Wustum Museum during the museums’ open hours. Plus, stay tuned for more information about Public Sewing Days throughout the summer—where you can contribute to the installation in a hands-on way! Want to meet Amanda Browder and learn more about her work, or this new Downtown Racine project? Stop and say hi during her visit to Racine on Free First Friday, May 1, at RAM.
