Is gambling addiction an issue? You bet it is.
“Gambling, especially online sports betting, is becoming more common for students and it’s not always something people talk about openly,” said Brooks’ Director of Psychological Counseling Kim Cratty. “Hearing from someone who’s actually been through it feels different than a typical presentation. It’s more relatable and sticks with you.”
That’s why she enlisted gambling addiction recovery content creator Rob Minnick to talk with Brooks students about the reality of the sports betting + gambling culture.
