My first open mic night ✅ I’ve always wanted to try stand up comedy but I was always too scared. Then I met a friend in improv who is a stand up comedian and she organizes open mic nights (come thru!). I set a goal to perform this past Tuesday. As the date got closer I decided I’d wait until later, but I still wanted to come out and support. Some other improv friends came through and towards the end of the show they decided à la improv to give it a shot without any preparation. I decided I’d do that too — so yes, peer pressure can be good.
