My eldest son, my Marine became a Husband, I became a Mother in Law and the boys became Brothers in Law.
Katie Alexander took the most spectacular photographs of their elopement in Shenandoah.
While we didn’t atrend the ceremony, I was able to do hair and makeup on one of favorite brides to date.
This weekends work for @kennedycenter Honorees has been a true delight. I have learned a lot about coordinating a full weekend schedule of glam for multiple people with multiple artists. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and despite a little discomfort (because learning can be hard) I am very grateful. Honoring artists and musicians means a lot to me and I am so glad to have the opportunity to support them. Thank you @kissonline for bringing me and my friends @brookeleesmith and @jessicamcbride89 to glam you up 🫶🏻🤘🎸. And special thanks to @phenomenalfacesmua for the moral support and mentorship.

Hair and makeup outside in the “swamp.”
That’s what it is actually referred to, it’s an area just outside of the Capitol.

My car was stolen 19 days ago.
I was on a job from 5-10 AM (at a News Network that required a few tools).
During that time, my car including my makeup and hair kit was stolen.
I posted on my personal Facebook about it and these two Angels sent me packages.
@paulinefaracebeauty and I met many moons ago at a @thepowdergroup event with @aleecao . We live on different coasts and haven't seen each other in person since.
@terria_beauty and I have never met! Never ever! Pauline shared my story with Terri and Terri immediately sent me a package as well.
If you've ever had to rebuild your kit, you get it. It’s exhausting even thinking about it. We spend a lot of time learning about products, trying products, choosing products, depotting, labeling and organizing. Not to mention the costs of rebuilding a kit.🙃
I'm dealing with @statefarm on the insurance end of things as I type this.

I was scrolling on Instagram yesterday and someone mentioned a book of Marianne Williamson’s I had never read. I wanted to read, “The Law of Divine Compensation,” immediately, and jumped on @spotify to listen to the audio book. I needed to hear it right then. I finished it in a day.
This reminded me, that I never posted about Marianne (and Chaneese’s) thoughtfullness. This is something I would typically post on my personal page but it intersected with my professional world. I’ve been a fan of Marianne Williamson and her writings for over 10 years. She hit the political circuit, and the news networks during the past 2 political seasons. And we always missed each other. She would be at one network the day before or after me, never at the same time as me.
An extremely kind makeup artist and dear friend @chaneesemartinmua knew how bummed I was about missing her yet again, and told Marianne when she was at @msnbc . Marianne called me! I was at another network but was able to answer. She was lovely and asked for my address, she said I’m going to send you a book.
AND SHE DID.
We WILL cross paths and I will get to do your hair/ makeup soon.❤️
