Join us at The Andrew Freedman Home for an afternoon celebrating poetry, film, and the voices shaping culture.
Presented in partnership with poetry me, please, Bronx Frame, and BX Writers, this special program brings together three powerful moments: a live poetry showcase, the premiere screening of What If, and an intimate fireside chat.
The afternoon features live performances by 8 NYC poets: Chris Cee, Mama Poetress, Kenny Gordon, ourlittleauthor, Brey, Agent Poems, Jessica Payes, and Habib Bello.
Weâll also premiere What If, a new short film written and directed by Christian Morant, with an original score by Christine Elise. Created by a cast and crew of nearly 30 artists, the film explores duality, perspective, and the power of a unified voice.
Following the screening, poetry me, please founder Rashan Brown will moderate a fireside chat with Christian Morant on poets behind the camera and what it means for poets to push culture forward beyond the stage.
