This series examines architectural fixtures as a form of communication. “Go away,” “grab me,” “look, but don’t touch,” “see what’s inside.” These messages can be conveyed in a utilitarian or embellished manner. This mirrors the physicality, tension, and style in the ways we invite others connect with us.
Made at @museumofnaz ’s Namingha Institute

This work explores the parallels between rodeo and queer leather culture. Submission, control, and pageantry are all factors at play in these performances of exaggerated masculinity. A choice presents itself: struggle for power like the raging bull, or relinquish control and discover a new kind of freedom and bliss.

I’ve had a beautiful past two weeks in Flagstaff at @museumofnaz Namingha Institute! So thankful to be able to work alongside my lovely cohort, push ourselves in our creative practices, and eat lots of cornish pasties. Excited for tonight’s exhibition! Let me know if you wanna last minute RSVP.
Stop by @bunkhousesaloon for tonight’s erotic art showcase with @thems.phx and @southwestleatherbearfam (see pinned post for details)
This is such a unique and important event, bringing art to our communities outside of the gallery context and supporting queer erotic art and the artists who make it in their explorations of sensuality and intimacy. There’s so many amazing pieces in this show and I want you all to see it!
I’ll have some prints from Sonoran Erotic on sale benefiting thems., so stop by and say hi!
Some belt buckles inspired by different popular designs from rodeo gear. I love their symbolism and purpose in commemorating a rider’s milestones and experiences. Interested in appropriating them for a queer narrative.
Been working on stuff at @museumofnaz Namingha Institute for the last few days! Exploring motifs from rodeo and leather culture and ideas of bondage and release of control. This character has been reappearing in my sketch books over the years and I thought it was time he gets a dedicated piece. Really excited to be working at a larger scale than I’m used to.
The lineup for May 1st at Bunkhouse just got even bigger!
We are thrilled to announce that DJ GHOST EFFECT has joined the roster to keep the floor moving. 🎧🔥

Spent the last two weeks teaching printmaking to 8th graders through @tempecityarts Arts in Schools Residency! This was my first time teaching middle schoolers and I was amazed by the students’ creativity and willingness to experiment. We learned about the history of printmaking, it‘s ability to enact social change, as well as how to carve and print works of their own.
Thank you Tempe City Arts for this opportunity and to Miss K for welcoming me into your classroom! Hoping we have some future printmakers!
