ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch at Milan Design Week 2026. Some moments from the installation curated by Federica Sala, with the spatial concept designed by (AB)NORMAL for Arpa® and the Broadview Materials brands FENIX®, Formica®, Homapal® and Getacore®. The design pieces by Marion Mailaender, Parasite 2.0, RedDuo Studio, STORAGEMILANO, Studio GGSV and ZIMMER explored domestic micro-architectures through tactile surfaces, architectural gestures and contemporary living scenarios. The project also marked a new chapter for Arpa®: a clearer identity, a renewed visual language and a more direct dialogue with the world of architecture and design.

Lauze by Italian architecture studio Zimmer is a vertical luminous structure that revisits the theme of micro-architectures by interpreting the constructive logic of stone laying. It is part of the ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch exhibition curated by Federica Sala for Arpa® at Milano Design Week 2026. “Lauze is not a lamp in the conventional sense, but a vertical micro-architecture: a constructive fragment that becomes an object,” says ZIMMER. “Surface, gesture, and light meet in a controlled balance, where repetition transforms into variation.” Lauze is of Arpa® Luserna Bianco in Luna finish, expressing a compact, luminous materiality and a unique tactile effect. Designed by French studio GGSV, Teatro Intimo is a micro-architecture composed of three articulated panels which define a cosy space. Halfway between a screen, a vanity table, and a desk, the object is part of ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch exhibition curated by Federica Sala for Arpa® at Milano Design Week 2026. “Teatro Intimo doesn’t just occupy space; it suggests depth and vision: the surfaces become a narrative device. The matte black and the wood enhanced by the Alevé finish lend a visual dimension that extends real space into an imaginary one,” explains GGSV. The piece reinterprets in a cotemporary key the principles of Renaissance writing desks with Arpa® Lamphun Teak with Ghibli finish and FENIX® Nero Ingo. Defined as a scenographic exhibition space, the ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch installation designed by Italian architecture studio (AB)NORMAL is built around a geometric visual language that recalls the architecture of data and energy flows. “The installation design reveals the hidden infrastructure that governs the contemporary city,” explains (AB)NORMAL studio. “It transposes the architecture of data and energy flows into a three-dimensional fragment of technology, which accompanies the visitor inside the computing machine through the scenographic reproduction of its materiality.” The floor follows a futuristic checkerboard pattern, made with Arpa® decors Abstract Aluminium and Grigio Argento. The ceiling introduces a mirrored element with Homapal® Alu Mirror Polished Superior Natural, creating an aerial path connecting the six projects on display via exposed lilac cables. STORAGEMILANO presents Frammento#due, a screen conceived as a mobile micro-architecture which is part of ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch exhibition curated by Federica Sala for Arpa® at Milano Design Week 2026. “The screen represents one of the archetypes of living and, simultaneously, the most elementary form of architectural creation. A light presence, capable of transforming space with a minimal gesture, without imposing function or use,” says Milan-based studio STORAGEMILANO. The combination of Arpa® Tuet Galea Green and Arpa® Brera Green in Rorà finish, along with FENIX® Verde Kitami edges and inserts in Homapal® Copper Moon Dark, creates a vibrant and configurable diaphragm that continually redefines the relationship between object and space. Visit ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch, the third chapter of the project curated by Federica Sala for Arpa® and Broadview Materials during Milan Design Week 2026. Hosted in FENIX Scenario, the exhibition brings together architecture studios Marion Mailaender, Parasite 2.0, RedDuo Studio, STORAGEMILANO, Studio GGSV and ZIMMER within an installation designed by (AB)NORMAL. Designed by Milan-based RedDuo Studio, Open Volume is an object that combines sound, material, and conviviality in a compact, transformable sculptural presence. It is part of ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch exhibition curated by Federica Sala for Arpa® at Milano Design Week 2026. “From a closed and silent volume to an open and convivial device, Open Volume is an object activated by a gesture, transforming structure into rhythm,” explain Fabiola di Virgilio and Andrea Rosso, founders of RedDuo Studio. “Sound, light, and material create a shared experience and celebrate music and the ritual and pleasure of sharing.” Arpa® Cioccolato in Lucida finish and Homapal® metal laminates Alu Plain Polished Tuet Natural and Stainless Steel Brushed define the pure volume and explore the dialogue between light and material. Bodega is a multifunctional object designed by Milan-based studio Parasite 2.0. It is part of ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch by Arpa® at Milano Design Week 2026, curated by Federica Sala. “Bodega was born as an exploration of the concept of micro-architecture, understood as a device capable of creating relationships and generating spaces for social interaction. It mediates between body, object, and environment,” say Stefano Colombo, Eugenio Cosentino, and Luca Marullo, founders of Parasite 2.0. Inspired by the structures of neighbourhood convenience stores and versatile home furnishings, Bodega transforms by opening or compacting. It is made with Arpa® Rosso Purjai in Kèr while Getacore® solid surface in Merano Cream was used to create a backlit panel on the rear of the structure. Le Chiffonier is double-storage system designed by French architect Marion Mailaender. It is part of ArchiThoughts–ArchiTouch by Arpa® at Milano Design Week 2026, curated by Federica Sala. “Le Chiffonier is a container between object and sculpture, a true micro-architecture. The different levels create visual interplays of light and shadow while also offering storage spaces of varying sizes, designed to accommodate everyday objects,” explains Mailaender. Its “façade” combines Arpa® Brown Shot in Lucida finish and Homapal® Plex Aluminium, while Arpa® Blue Shot in the Lucida finish creates an unexpected detail inside the drawers.
