“How do I park here?” Here’s how. The gate via Washington is sometimes closed, but we should (hopefully) have a clicker soon. If you park on Broad just saunter up the alleyway to our semi secret taproom. #cider #mead #nolacider #shh #secretcider

Red Marrakech - 6.3% McIntosh cider with hibiscus and mint. This cider is close to perfection in taste and looks. We made just one keg of this stunner and when it’s gone it will be replaced with One Night in Marrakech. Mint cider fans rejoice :) Cheers! #nolacider #drynotsweet #cidertime

Duck fat popcorn?!? Jon is whipping up popcorn these days and it is delicious. He found a great way to repurpose our out-of-season HSC mugs and he’s happy to give samples for a wink and a smile! Thanks to D&G for the photo. #nolacider #ciderandpopcorn #drynotsweet

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 We’re almost nine years in on our reusable and refillable glass BSC jar program. This is one example when an early business decision actually pans out (plenty are misses!). We’re very proud that our jars are returned and reused an average of 12 times per jar. Our shipping and local club members are a huge part of this statistic. Thank you all for doing your part by drinking cider & mead and returning those jars! This also serves as a gentle nudge to bring back any extra jars and insulated bags that you might have. 😉 Remember the three R’s this Earth Day: Reduce, Reuse, and then Recycle! Cheers! #cider #ciderclub #fancyajar #earthday #nolacider

Viscount is back on tap! This lovely traditional cider is a welcome addition to our current line up. Viscount packs a delicious punch at 6.9%, but never fear, we can still ship it to you. Note the jasmine in the background of the photo. It’s just about blooming which marks a gorgeous time in NOLA. Cheers! PS - Viscount is the most mispronounced cider we make! 😆 #nolacider #drynotsweet #viscount #fancyajar

Order of the Garter - McIntosh cider infused with hibiscus flowers is back! You might wonder what is the difference between Hibiscus Blush and Order of the Garter. Welp, it’s just the color! Our last batch of hibiscus flowers was pretty pale but this batch is robust. The color is a perfect match to our 8 year old azalea plants that’s all a bloom! Regular hours this week: Monday 3-7pm (we have spring water, don’t worry) Wednesday 3-7pm Friday 4-8pm with a Low-Key Cheese & Cider Pairing at 6pm, $44 pp (DM to RSVP) Saturday 2-6pm #nolacider #ciderclub #fancyajar #drynotsweet

Happy Lundi Gras! BSC is closed today and will reopen Wednesday from 4-7pm. It’s time for another Monday BSC - FAQ. We hear this one pretty frequently - “You guys must have been SO busy over Mardi Gras!” (substitute MG for Jazz Fest or Super Bowl). Welp, the answer is, no. MG especially is not a giant money maker for most businesses even near/on the route. The MVP is always the restroom which gets so much use some businesses close. That being said, we close for MG to enjoy parades like the rest of you. We had a nice MG break and hope everyone else did too or at least listened to WWOZ from afar for the MG vibes. Oh, Ginger Peach cider is back on tap! #nolacider #drynotsweet #gingerpeach

Monday FAQ time Another Monday means another BSC top 5 FAQ. (Said with confusion) “Has your space changed or did you move? I remember being here when it looked different.” Well, yes and no. We downsized more than 5 years ago into our now cozy, moody, dimly lit, hard to find tasting room. See that mural with the Duchess of Devonshire? That’s a wall that we had built to shrink our space to ensure our little cidery could exist post covid. Oh, and welcome back! The cider featured in the photo is Lady Spencer which is McIntosh juice infused with a decaf floral and fruity tea. Brand new blend, in fact. She’s a lovely blush color perfect for spring. Fun fact, the Duchess of Devonshire was Lady Spencer’s daughter. We’re all in on the Cavendish family tree here at BSC! IYKYK #drycider #nolacider #newciderforspring #bscfactoids
