This is a tough ask. Like, really tough. After over 5 years of dealing with fertility challenges we have struggled for months trying to think of how we can possibly turn to people we love to ask for financial help when trying to start our family. Will people hate us? Will people judge us? Will people question every financial choice we make? Sadly, we know the answers might be yes, yes, and yes. But then we think, so many of you have urged us to ask for this kind of help. So many of you have told us that this is how you want to help us. And this is truly our last hope. Based on the advice of our doctor, we are about to explore some new options on this treacherous path to parenthood and we hope that you can find it in your hearts to donate even a little bit to help us succeed.

What a whirlwind it’s been to get here! I decided last April that I wanted to become a real estate agent. I dove right in and didn’t look back. I completed all of the courses and finally got my license in February. I joined the Keller Williams team in early March and I was ready to do this thing. And then…Covid.

No open houses, no showings, nothing. I had written a huge, exciting announcement to introduce my new career to all of my friends and family. Then everything just stopped. It seemed like an unsettling time to be celebrating my new career (PS I do still have my dog walking business!!)

Finally, things have shifted a little bit and I am so excited to let you know that if you are looking to find your new dream home, I’m here for you!! Even if you’re looking to rent, I can help and would be overjoyed to do so!

My ultimate goal in life has always been to help people be happier and stress less. Even if you have a quick question or want to know what “that house sold for down the street” let me know. Little boy is all tuckered out from his big surgery. He was a trooper. But he had a pee accident on the way home (he HATES the car and gets the shakes from fear) and now he smells to high heaven. But with sutures you can’t give them a bath. So I’ve had a stinky boy sleeping on and off my lap in the bathroom for hours. My back hurts and I wish he smelled better but I am so glad he’s home and ok!! They found that missing testicle too! Look how weird and tiny it was!!! Poor little baby. Send him some good healing vibes and some less smelly vibes while you’re at it.
Took this guy in to get neutered today and we were sent home because apparently only one of his testicles has descended. A stressful, meowy car ride just to have to wait another couple months. If it doesn’t descend they have to open him up to look for it in his abdomen 😢. Hopefully, it’s just taking some extra time and it will be an easy surgery in Oct for this special guy!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Did I mention that I’m terrified the entire day that my pets have to get neutered because I’ve had 2 cats die from this simple surgery?! I got all stressed for nothing today and will have to do it all over again in 2 months!!

It doesn’t matter how much time you get to spend with someone you love, it doesn’t ever seem to be enough.
My Gramma will be greatly missed. My memories of her are vivid and tangible. The smell of her house, the way the mitts she knit always held my hands to perfectly tight (knitting was a gift she definitely passed onto me), her delicate hugs that were mostly just you hugging her, the sound of her sweet voice answering her phone, how being with her just felt so familiar and comforting.
These are things that I won’t ever forget and I will always carry with me.
Her last day on this earth was spent saying hello to her neighbours and hanging her wet laundry in her backyard. She was 93. 93 and still able to do everything on her own, in her own house. I took this picture of her nightgowns blowing in the wind, with the sun warming them. This picture makes me so happy. To know that she never had to leave the comfort of her home is comforting to me.
