running through the darkness, trying to capture the light, is it really there? can we hold it? where does it come from? is it ours to keep for ourselves? it comes in many forms. if we’re lucky enough to experience it, how do we share it? what’s ours to keep anyways? we move through this world staking claims when nothing is truly “ours”, it is given to us by grace in order to give to the next. it’s nowhere, it’s everywhere, in the cracks, in the skies, in the heart of our humanity, our calling for each other to pick up our broken pieces, own up to our mistakes, use the light to heal, and move forward together growing, learning, yearning for redemption, a new self, connection to the rays that shine in and out of each living being and back into an eternal flame, a flicker, a flash, a fuse, a forgotten feeling of our forever muse..

Back in 2019 at @cloverlickbanjoshop@brlively and I wrote this song our first night of tour--an ommage to Greta. Damn is she courageous. She speaks truth to power, and in the face of backlash, she continues to direct the focus of the conversation to the matter at hand. She stands up for so many. The current authoritarian regimes of the world will eventually crumble. They rely on propagation of fear. In times of darkness we must shine bright.

High fives for 35 ~ can’t express my gratitude enough for all the birthday love yesterday and throughout this strange and wild ride that is life. So many blessings and hardships but feeling stronger and more confident than ever in moving forward with expanding love and perseverance to helping create a more beautiful world any way I can with what I got. With enough grace, patience, and guidance from those I truly love and admire all around me, my heart is full and spirit is willing to continue to be present and focus on what’s in front of me while trusting in the uncertainty of the future and this ethereal cosmic unravelling that shoots light in the shadows of the self and dark corners of the world bringing forth growth and transformation.
