We’re very excited to welcome @felixcaspar to the Brix Fine Wines portfolio 🍷
Named after the middle names of brothers Ruben & Phillip James, this Margaret River project is all about precision, drinkability and a real sense of place.
After honing their craft at Cape Mentelle, Leeuwin Estate & Flametree, the brothers launched Felix Caspar in 2017. Today, they farm a dry-grown vineyard in Wilyabrup and are bringing new life to an old site in Forest Grove with a strong focus on the future and organic farming.
These are thoughtful, modern wines with energy and clarity. We’re proud to share them on the east coast.

🌿✨ Domaine Defialy Blanc — Chardonnay / Savagnin 2024 ✨🌿
A wine that’s all about character and tradition with a modern Aussie twist. Inspired by the Jura region, this is a blend of Chardonnay & Savagnin.
After tasting countless Chardonnay/Savagnin blends over the years, and mainly from France, this is one of the best examples I’ve had from Australia. Creamy, textural, and alive, it shows a vibrant yellow-fruit spectrum, ripe pear, golden apple, subtle citrus and layered with savory, slightly nutty complexity.
Aged 12 months in untopped barrels, it finishes persistent and gently saline. A perfect example of tradition meeting modern Aussie flair. Well done Micah @defialy_ .
✨ New Producer Highlight ✨
Two months ago, we welcomed our first-ever Provence producer to the portfolio: @domaine_kennel
After five years of searching (and a lot of tasting), we’re delighted to have found the wines of this family-run estate. For us, it was important to support and import a small producer whose work in both the vineyard and winery truly aligns with our philosophy.
Domaine Kennel is Demeter-certified biodynamic and certified organic. Julien and his wife Mireille converted the vineyards to biodynamic farming in 2005, focusing on lower yields and encouraging biodiversity.
The vineyards are nurtured with compost, herbal preparations and gentle soil work. Fig trees, beehives and river-bordered woodland provide natural habitats, with birds and small mammals protected across the estate. Some Grenache vines are pruned late to avoid frost, and grapes are harvested at night to preserve natural acidity.
The wines are fresh yet slightly more textured than classic Provence, and the feedback so far has been incredibly strong.
Very happy to welcome Domaine Kennel to our portfolio.
Christine & Gilles Berlioz. An iconic domaine from Savoy, the Berlioz family has been farming 5 hectares in Chignin. Domaine Partagé-Berlioz is one of the heavyweights of biodynamic viticulture in Savoy and the adventure started along time ago in 1990. Humble, sincere, honest…. there are so many adjectives to describe this couple who has proven that premium wines can be made in Savoy. With all the hard work in the vineyard and at the winery, they have participated in increasing the reputation of this region. Gilles stopped the use of oak in 2006 and replaced it with fibreglass, and recently moved to élevage on fine lees in horizontal fibreglass eggs (pic). "Why horizontal? That's how you find them in nature, don't you? Incredible wines made by some of the nicest people I have met. A must to try and discover if you are curious about this area and its grapes varieties.
New Wines:
2024 Chignin AOP ‘Cricri’ Jacquère Blanc
2024 Roussette de Savoie AOP ‘Susie’ Blanc
2024 ‘Bibi’ Rouge Mondeuse / Gamay
2024 Bergeron AOP ‘Les Fripons’ Blanc
2024 Bergeron AOP ‘Les Filles’ Blanc
We’re always excited to share the new wines of @domaine_guillemot_michel , one of the quiet gems of Southern Burgundy.
A historic family estate, fully biodynamic since 1992, crafting Chardonnay with remarkable purity, texture and energy.
From the limestone-rich soils of Quintaine, their wines express finesse, lift, and a beautiful sense of place.
✨THIS THURSDAY✨ come and join us for a night of exquisite wine presented by @brixfinewines - limited spaces available DM or pop in store to book, it’s gonna be a fabulous evening 🍷

Fresh off the boat and bursting with energy!
This juicy little Grolleau spent only 3 months in stainless steel, keeping all that crunchy red fruit, wild raspberry, and fresh plum goodness right where it belongs, in your glass!
We tasted this new cuvée in May and absolutely loved it straight away. Charlotte and Thomas from @terredelelu really nail that light, vibrant red style. Usually made only when there’s an excess of fruit, this is more or less a one-off each year.
Absolutely stunning example of this lesser-known Loire grape, a mid-fancy French chill red that’s fun, juicy, and effortlessly drinkable. Nice one, Terre de l’Élu!
Melbourne friends, looking forward to splashing some new releases alongside some of Oz’s best importers and independent producers. Tuesday October 21st at The Kelvin Club, 14-30 Melbourne Pl, Melbourne. 11am/3pm

Please note that this is a trade-only event.
We’re thrilled to officially welcome Domaine Vrignaud to our portfolio. While our relationship with Guillaume Vrignaud and his family’s vineyards is already well established, this marks an exciting new chapter.
For some time, we’ve worked with Guillaume through the Georges Deschamps label, which draws on the same historic holdings around Fontenay-près-Chablis. This next step allows us to delve more deeply into the wines of the family estate itself.
These are truly fantastic Chablis, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
Gang gang we back! April 24th I'm reuniting with the Silver Fox (@zacjwalton ) over at a beloved joint @sleepyscafeandwinebar with Chinese Fox (@scubaschteve ) for some Silly Sri Lankan Snacks on a (S)Thursday.
Zac will be pouring some glammas from Brix Fine Wines; a mix of Sleepy's favourites and other deep cuts.
Maybe expect things like a potato galette topped off with coconut sambol and makrut lime? Maybe expect a love cake babka sitting on top of an anglaise seasoned with candied fruits? Definitely expect seductive looks, cheeky winks, great drinks and handsome people.
Link in bio to book, but we will have limited space for walk ins.
April 24th
530 onwards
Silly. Snacky. Sri Lankan. Sleepy's.
There are winemakers, and then there are winemakers—the ones who don’t simply bottle fermented grapes but bottle time, light, soil, history, and a bit of their own madness. Christophe Pueyo is one of the latter. Tucked into St. Émilion, he likes to work in rhythms, an increasing priority amidst Bordelaise winemakers and growers that want to break out of its prestige, but not sacrifice quality. Pueyo is convinced that vines respond best to the hum and needs of the earth rather than the dictates of industry.
Christophe Pueyo doesn’t make wines for algorithms, mass appeal, or safe bets. These are wines with presence—alive, evocative, and entirely themselves. They’ll change your mind about Bordeaux.
Exceptional new release from @defialy_ . The ‘Willow Run’ and ‘Candlebark Hill’ wines are farmed by Micah himself in Macedon Ranges and the other range (negoce fruit) are just perfect for summer. Hit us up if you would like to try them!
