BEWARE: one of the most ruinously alluring of all unsung Water Kelpies has just been released for/at your streaming pleasure/peril!!!
Our new record includes three re-imagined traditional tunes (in addition to the 6 originals and 2 small interludes), including “The Song of the Water Kelpie,” collected on the Isle of Mann circa the early 1900s.
We’ve always loved the hypnotic quality of this melody, but weren’t aware of the danger it posed until we typed “what is a water kelpie” into one of our devices. WHOA.
Alas, it already had us by the ears, and all we could think to do was make the kelpie’s song as trancelike and revery-inducing as possible, in the hopes that it might release us in thanks. NO SUCH LUCK. In addition to the recorded evidence of our doom, our beloved Admiral of Visuals, Josh Goleman, has expertly captured live footage of us in the monster’s thrall. Proceed with caution, brave fishers of sound!!

De baanbrekende bluegrassband Punch Brothers geeft op 21 januari 2027 een exclusief optreden in Paradiso. De groep, onder leiding van meester-mandolinist Chris Thile (@christhile ), maakt al zo'n 20 jaar furore met hun tegelijk verfrissende als diepgaande benadering van bluegrass. De groep werd internationaal geprezen dankzij albums als 'Antifogmatic' en 'The Phosphorescent Blues'.
Op 24 juli wordt @punchbrothers ' nieuwe album 'The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers' aan de wereld getoond, het eerste werk met violist Brittany Haas (@brittfiddle ) in de gelederen.
