a little bit of #fbf today - a look inside some of the inspiration behind our wedding shoot at the first ever @film____club retreat last year.
we wanted the whole day to feel as real as possible for us, the vendors and the attendees. we wanted capture to start from the beginning of the day, as you would on a real wedding day, and carry on through “dinner” and “dancing”. after jen discovered this @martha_weddings book from 1987 and we booked our lakeside property, we knew we wanted the feel to be a ralph lauren inspired wedding “at home” with some relaxed country club-type charm. this book is an incredible one, and i can’t wait to dive deeper into it for my own work - a true compilation of what the OG “real wedding” used to be - REAL. i resonated with so many of these shots that capture guests, details, and even vendors in such an authentic way, and really hope it shows in what i created that rainy october day - from private vows in the rain, to the final cuddle of the candlelit evening, this was some of the most fun i’ve had at a fake wedding. 🤭💛🌾
