We’re delighted to announce a very special night as two boundary-pushing selectors, Elkka and Cinthie, go back-to-back at our new home.
Elkka, the London-based producer, DJ and label head of Femme Culture, has become one of the UK’s most vital voices in electronic music. From her celebrated Euphoric Melodies EP to remixes for artists like Caribou and Ela Minus, her sound blurs the lines between house, electronica and emotional songwriting, earning her a place on festival main stages and in clubs worldwide.
Joining her is Berlin’s Cinthie, a powerhouse of the underground, revered for her deep, groove-driven take on house. With releases on labels such as Aus Music, Shall Not Fade and her own 803 Crystal Grooves, plus her role as a vinyl evangelist and record store owner, she has become one of the scene’s most respected tastemakers.
Together, Elkka and Cinthie promise a set that bridges two cities and two visions of house music - raw, soulful and absolutely irresistible on the dancefloor.

2024 has been a year like no other for us. Over the past 12 months, we’ve hosted more than 250 shows, welcomed nearly 600 artists, and collaborated with over 60 brands to bring a kaleidoscope of music and events to Bristol. From across the electronic spectrum and beyond, we’ve worked tirelessly to create unforgettable moments for our city.
This year saw many incredible highs alongside some undeniable challenges. Our new project, DOCUMENT, celebrated its first full season, becoming a home for the world’s leading brands and artists right here in Bristol. We’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved with this space and the vibrant energy it has brought to the community. Motion also delivered its most packed In:Motion season to date, featuring more shows, genres, and collaborations than ever before.
However, we cannot ignore the difficulties our industry continues to face. Organising events has never been more challenging or costly, and this year we’ve mourned the loss of far too many beloved venues. It’s a sobering reminder of how fragile this ecosystem is, and we feel deeply grateful to still be here when so many others have been less fortunate.
As we look ahead to 2025, we face uncertainty about Motion’s future with our lease expiration looming. Yet, one thing remains certain: we will fight relentlessly to secure Motion’s place in Bristol’s music scene. This space is more than just a venue—it’s a community, a movement, and a testament to what music can achieve.
To everyone who walked through our doors in 2024, to the artists and brands who made magic happen, and to every supporter who stood by us during these turbulent times: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We wish you a happy, healthy new year, and we can’t wait to see you tonight for one last unforgettable dance to close out 2024.

It is with a heavy heart that Motion Events Ltd. announces the impending expiration of our lease for the beloved property at 74-78 Avon St, Bristol BS2 0PX, which will end in July 2025. Despite our heartfelt request for a lease extension and to purchase the property, the current owners have refused, leaving us facing immense uncertainty.
