Im a perfectionist, also known as a procrastinator.
I’ve written about 4 paragraphs and deleted them because I’m a perfectionist. Step one admit you have a problem. Step two do something about it.
Here you go.

Today while at a coffee shop in Pasadena, I had a conversation with a French woman who’s been living in CA for 40 years. When travel came up she said it only takes a few hours to from one place to the next, just go and do it even if you have to eat pasta for a few weeks.
She’s right.

I wrote a book about my solo treks around the world.
“Solo travel can mean something different for everyone. I think of it as more of an investment rather than just a trip to a place we want to visit. As a deeply conscious person, my solo travel trips have always brought me much needed insight that has helped me in some type of way. Whether it’s gaining clarity, dismantling a negative idea about something, releasing stored energy or even just experiencing silence. Every solo adventure provokes aspects of this thing called life to unfold. It has been my therapy as well as my calling.”

This morning I was thinking, but when am I never not thinking. Then I thought about how much Ive cried because I was gifted with moments of pure silence, moments I would only remember. I’ll be back in Costa Rica in 2 days and….
I have to spend more time contemplating on the fact that my experience isn’t any more grand or dull than another’s. Meaning, I struggle with telling others what they should or shouldn’t do based on the experiences I have and what I think I know. Like, I know Earth heals. I know that nature is the cure. I know that environmental psychology and where we are matters just a much as who we’re around. I know social media has connected us in ways the physical cannot. It’s granted so many opportunities to people to thrive and become who they’ve dreamed of. I can see how sharing our gifts with others is a human desire, a valid one.
It’s just that we’re becoming less than in some ways and more than in others, first as the individual and then as the collective, but isn’t that the same thing?
I miss sharing, but I don’t miss the noise.
Our friends @latrailkillers sure know how to turn a 300+ mile relay into a party ❤️🔥 Congrats to the team and crew for conquering the gritty race from LA —> LV!

Knocking down the Powerlines route 1 with team 3 of @latrailkillers for @thespeedproject
I’ve never shot runners before this nor have I heard of TSP before @vic_of_earth introduced me to it. The immense respect I now have for running and those who do it is life changing. I got to witness something that a camera cannot document and I’m still feeling the effects of such an experience. More will be shared.
