A new way of seeing the past. A new way of feeling place.
At @andaz_doha we believe art should act as a lens — one that reframes the familiar and draws new meaning from the past. In this recent commission, we explored that philosophy by creating a series of custom photographic reproductions that blend archival imagery with local patterns, transforming them into something altogether new: portraits not of individuals, but of place, memory, and identity.
These works are more than aesthetic gestures. Much like the sculptural reflections that greet visitors at Andaz Doha, they serve as metaphors — reflective surfaces that invite introspection. Each layered composition captures the city’s evolving story, where tradition and modernity coexist, refract, and reshape one another.
As guests move through the space, they’re met with shifting perspectives — moments where a familiar face from a black-and-white photo emerges behind vibrant cultural motifs, or where the texture of a traditional pattern pulls the past into the present.
A hospitality experience where art becomes narrative, and where the city’s story is told through a kaleidoscope of culture, connection, and rediscovery.

At @andaz_doha , the arrival experience is more than a first impression — it’s a visual metaphor for the city’s layered identity. Central to this concept are a series of mirrored sculptural objects, custom-designed for the reception area to evoke the idea of reflection—of self, of place, and of culture.
These pieces are not merely decorative; they’re intentional markers of the “kaleidoscope of cultures” that define Doha. Their reflective surfaces catch and refract the surrounding design elements — from the bold Sadu-patterned canopy overhead to the warm glow of the wood-clad dovecote-inspired walls—creating constantly shifting views as guests move through the space.
Much like Doha itself, the mirrored forms offer a sense of multiplicity. They mirror tradition and modernity, local heritage and global design—anchoring the lobby in both meaning and motion.

The Salt Road at Andaz Doha is more than a restaurant—it’s a culinary journey that bridges continents, inspired by the original Salt restaurant at Paul Cluver Vineyards in South Africa. Nestled in the Elgin Valley, the first Salt offered a unique salt, wine, and food-pairing experience, reflecting the essence of simplicity, seasonality, and locality.
Bringing this ethos to Doha, Brime Robbins reinterpreted the farmhouse aesthetic with local materials and repurposed objects, ensuring a connection between the global concept and the local context. The space is warm and inviting, mirroring the relaxed ambiance of its South African counterpart while embracing Qatari craftsmanship.
At the heart of the dining experience? A curated selection of salts, with each dish designed to pair not only with wine but also with the perfect salt profile—a sensory experience that elevates every meal.
A true oasis within the city, the Andaz Lounge is a space designed to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Every detail has been considered to create an environment that is both calm and deeply immersive - inviting guests to linger over coffee, morning treats, and afternoon delicacies, the space adapts effortlessly to each guest’s needs.
Anchored by a striking blue library wall, the space is filled with Doha-inspired art, kaleidoscopic sculptures, and curated design moments. Blue has been known to reflect luxury and modernity in contemporary Doha - linking the lounge to the city’s evolving identity whilst evoking the cooling presence of the sea and sky. This balance between heritage and modernity ensures that guests feel an immediate sense of place and connection.
Throughout the lounge, refracted, crystalline artwork wraps corners and adorns walls, serving as a subtle kaleidoscopic nod to the overarching design theme. The play of light and form transforms the space throughout the day, ensuring that there is always something new to discover.

From a Brime Robbins concept to an Andaz Doha reality, the designs transform culture into a tangible, immersive experience — ensuring that every space tells a story.
From the Sadu weaving-inspired ceiling to curated discoveries, each element invites guests to explore, engage, and experience Doha through a new lens - creating an ever-evolving tapestry of connection and discovery.
A hospitality design like no other — where tradition meets innovation, every detail reflects the soul of the city, and where diverse guests refract into a vibrant mosaic of distinct, creative, and well-travelled trailblazers.
A city of exceptional architecture, fluid forms, and artistic heritage - it was essential that the artwork for the @intercontinental_barcelona reflected this rich identity.
Working closely with Catalan artisans, we curated a bespoke collection of 150 handcrafted vessels, each crafted from locally sourced clay to ensure the city’s story is woven into the very fabric of the hotel. The shapes, textures, and compositions echo Barcelona’s signature silhouettes, creating a seamless connection between art, place, and culture.
The placement of each piece was meticulously considered—juxtaposing tall and thin forms with wide and low, playing with negative space, and allowing the artwork to feel both harmonious and unexpected.
The hotel doesn’t just display Barcelona’s culture—it lives and breathes it. This is the power of styling: not just filling a space, but transforming it into an experience.
The Art of Time & Collaboration ✨
Inspired by the rhythm of modern meetings, we worked with the artist to create a one of a kind, custom acrylic sculpture for @andaz_doha . This striking installation represents the division of time during modern meetings — capturing moments of deep focus, collaboration, and structured pauses, all refracted through a kaleidoscopic lens.
Like the hotel itself, this piece reflects an ever-evolving tapestry of cultures, ideas, and perspectives — a fusion of tradition and contemporary expression, designed to spark curiosity and conversation.
