My husband has always called me his "small and mighty", well, that's how I see our team. A group of women, dedicated to bringing you beautiful experiences, and helping you find that once in a lifetime dress. We are ALWAYS told, "wow I can't believe the selection of dresses you have!"
Our motto has always been, since opening in 2018, "experience is everything" and that means from the warm welcome to the carefully curated collection of dresses you'll find in store. Do we chase the big name brands? No. Why? Because you'll find them in every other bridal store in Surrey 😅 Do we choose exciting & unique brands to keep things interesting? 100%!
HANNAH - the boss, head stylist, in charge of your orders and the bookkeeping. Been in the wedding industry for 15 years since finishing university with a BA in English literature and was a former wedding & events manager in Surrey & London. Opened my second bridal shop @lushcurvebridal in 2022. Lover of travel, reggaeton and Arabic cuisine being half Moroccan.
TANIA - head stylist, right-hand, mender of sample dresses & former assistant. Been in the wedding industry for 30+ years as an exceptionally talented makeup artist. Formerly owned a photographic studio and had a pet snake called Harry. Lover of dogs, gin and tans irritatingly well being half Italian.
LUCY - weekend assistant, drinks maker & bringer of calm. The most relaxed teenager you'll ever meet, Lucy doesn't sweat the small stuff and takes everything in her stride. Currently studying at college, learning Spanish & planning a trip to Kilimanjaro this summer. Lover of tea in any form, reading and heated blankets.
ELIZA - weekend assistant, drinks maker & bringer of loveliness. A genuine ray of sunshine, currently studying at college and learning to drive. Lover of traditional East London pie and mash, amateur dramatics and anything that has a bow on it.
These women make my weekends full of fun and I'm so lucky to have my small and mighty team. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We can't WAIT to meet you and learn more about you 😊

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2026 🌟
When you were a kid, do you remember saying things like "oh my God, in 2020 there will be like, hover crafts and teleportation!?" Well, in truth I think those things actually do exist so maybe those ideas weren't so far fetched after all - the bad news is, only the billionaires amongst us get to experience such things.
Anyway, remember when you were a kid and used to say "one day when I'm married" and you didn't really know what that was going to look like?
Well, it's 2026 and YOU'RE FLIPPING GOING TO FIND OUT THIS YEAR! No billionaires required (although we remain hopeful)🤞🏼
Whilst you don't require a hovercraft to get married, you do need a bloody gorgeous outfit, quite possibly a dress, that hugs your delicious body in all the right places, makes you feel a million £££ (with inflation) and can 'teleport' you to happiness! 🧀

Bridal Trends are great. They're fun and keep things moving along, allowing people to evolve and expand their sense of fashion.
But what happens if you don't like the latest bridal trend!?
It can feel like an awful lot of pressure to conform to certain styles, especially if they simply don't feel like you.
Don't feel pressured to be "on trend", by others or yourself. The best way to show up to your wedding is by being the most unapologetic and authentic version of yourself.

Throwing it back to my winter bride Lucy, who married her now hubby at the stunning @gatestreetvenue last February ❄️
Could you imagine a more perfect winters day! Dry, sunny, crisp - everything you could hope for! And inside? A charming, elegant, rustic venue with high ceilings and a stunning bar area 😀
Lucy wore FIJI - a striking tulle ballgown with corseted bodice, adorned with sparkling vine applique and cape style sleeves (detachable of course!)

I'm not going to lie. The last 12 months for me has been pretty awful. You know when something in your life just throws you for a loop? Well, my loop lasted just about 12 months. April 25 - April 26, I've been a shadow of myself.
Trauma does that to you.
So I've been showing up physically to work but I've not really shown my face on here. The day of my husbands operation last September, I was in the boutique with a smile on my face, masking the fear, the exhaustion. But I haven't felt like I've had the confidence or strength to be present online. Silly I know, but the mind works in strange ways!
Fast forward to a few weeks back and finally, the clouds feel like they're starting to lift. I feel happiness, hope and joy again. I'm getting my mojo back and want to show up again, for me and for you. For bridal chats and sometimes just chats. So expect to see a little more of my face around here again 😊

♥️ I'm 1/2 Moroccan, 1/2 Scot, & married a South African

♥️ I live a small & quiet life, on a little farm in West Sussex
