Two ways to enjoy our roast beef this week! We have our classic roast beef on a potato bun with horseradish sauce, and our take on the Philly Cheesesteak which includes caramelized mushrooms and onions, choice of cheese, and peppadew peppers all grilled together on a potato hoagie. Available on our regular menu going forward
Slight disclaimer: this is not made from local beef like our more recent specials, but it is fresh black angus top round that we trim and roast in house. We will have some new local beef specials starting next week, but most of what we have left is ground beef and smaller steaks, so hopefully we will be able to bring the grill out soon!
We’re running a new drink special featuring the viral recipe from @littlejoycoffee for their Raspberry Danish Latte. It fits perfectly here at the Brick with our other housemade beverages and pastries, and on Fridays and Saturday you can pair it with a hand-made raspberry danish. Check out Little Joy’s map of cafes selling this latte all over the US, and help get us on it!
Your friendly reminder that we do catering! Send us an email to [email protected] with the details of your event and we can make a custom menu to suit your needs!
Saturday Special: Mushrooms and Dumplings with Asparagus and Ramp Beurre Blanc— it’s basically spring in a bowl with a combination of king oyster, lions mane and shiitake mushrooms from @mushroomsnaturally and some massive, tender asparagus spears from @bethrinkenberger and our GF potato dumplings. Available after 10am Saturday only
Our Turkey breast is the best because it comes from @slagelfarms in central Illinois. The quality of their meat stands for itself, and we take the utmost care to make it as delicious as possible without masking the natural flavor. To do that, we brine the breasts for 5-7 days (5% salt, 2.5% brown sugar) and roast it slowly to cook evenly without drying out. Furthermore, we slice the meats fresh everyday to preserve that quality all the way to your sandwich which is why we sometimes run out during lunch. That’s all for my Turkey Ted Talk. Gobble out 🦃
The pastry selection is so good today we couldn’t even pack it into the whole frame. We’re open until 3 today and will run half off all pastries after 2pm!
Roast Beef and Horseradish on our housemade potato buns. Can’t do much to improve the flavor and quality of @thepricefamilyfarm beef, I just try to do my best to not f it up. Available in limited quantities Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Our kitchen is now open 8am-2pm Tuesday-Saturday with a truncated menu that we’re expanding daily. This week we have a Local Beef Special—braised shortribs and potato dumplings (GF) using the amazing @thepricefamilyfarm beef. Roast Beef coming later this week as well as a new salmon salad!
