A newer Standard is here. We’re proud to announce the new Brian Weis Omni V3. Brian has been a huge part of Standard since the beginning, and we’re thrilled to get him his first pro skate. Brian’s Omni V3 comes in a vibrant blue with light gray highlights, paying tribute to his home of Detroit. The Pro model features our updated V3 Comfort Liner, the new Standard Antirocker frame, and Standard 60mm 90A wheels. The Premium model features Brian’s new 60mm 92A Cymatics wheels and bearings, and light gray waxed laces.
With the Omni V3, we’ve made dozens of small improvements to ship our best skate yet. This includes countersinking bolts for a cleaner install, updating hardware to prevent liner damage, and creating new tooling to ensure a flat frame stays flat. We’ve heard your feedback and we’ve made the Omni even better.
The biggest mold modification in V3 is with the shell. We’ve thinned out the flaps around the ankle area to create a smoother transition from the boot to the cuff. This will help alleviate any pressure points and allow you to skate longer each session.
We’ve also added the new Standard Heel Pads with just the right amount of bounce for an optimal ride. These are a brand new custom mold designed to fit all versions of the Omni perfectly. We’re using a new PU material which is long lasting and responsive while still making for the most comfortable ride. It’s our best feeling skate yet.
Preorders for the Brian Weis Omni V3 start this Friday and will leave the factory in mid November. We hope you’ll give The Omni V3 a try and let us know what you think. Brian has been a top class skater for a very long time. You can go back to things like his Shake profile, which is like 20 years old and see his clear ability. It’s phenomenal to not only maintain that level but keep it feeling fresh. This video is a great example of his capability to consistently offer something new. He’s an intelligent skaters, he can find the unique idea or interesting spot and there is a faultless quality in his execution. The community cup is exactly that, it’s driven by the community. The more we come together as a community, the bigger the fund becomes and potentially the more the skater are motivated. This is something we’re building collectively — and its value is entirely in our hands. #rollerblading
