Birds of the sun 🦜☀️ I photographed these parakeet and parrot feathers throughout the month thinking about my late grandpa and his fascination with these birds. He owned a parrot named Pepsi who was very colorful. Pepsi was an early memory of seeing vibrant colors that I believe bled its way into my art later on. These photographs are an homage to him and our shared interest in these beautiful animals.
@brianvu 's never been interested in playing it safe. His portraiture and editorial work lean psychedelic and maximalist: bold, collaborative, and totally unconfined by traditional training.
He eventually started to dabble in makeup and it became a natural extension of his photography, a way to make the whole process feel more painterly. And as any true photographer should be, he’s obsessed with light, always chasing that perfect glow.
