First lion treed this season! Snow conditions have been tough and I got real lucky this morning. I was on the sled heading up a creek bottom and jumped this young, collared female. Ran back got the dogs, they lined it out, caught kitty🙌🏼. Before I left I said a prayer, the Lord heard my prayer and answered!
I usually don’t make a post about a treed cat, but this one was special. It was my first solo hunt with the dogs that ended in game caught. After all the miles I put in, the juice was well worth the squeeze.
Huge shoutout to @halfasshounds_woman for the new dog, Ice. Her and @hoodoo_basin_outdoors got me running dogs last winter and I cannot thank them enough for their willingness to teach, their dogs, and hospitality!

Snuck my last hunter of the year into an elk party. While I hid behind my horse, he snuck up the hill to get better positioning. That quote kept ringing through my head as this calf was within 5 yards of the two of us haha!
