Father’s Day can be a painful reminder if your Fathers is no longer around however a father’s love is forever imprinted on his child’s heart. To my friends whose dad has passed away. I just wanted to throw out that I’m thinking about you and what you’re going through. We don’t “go through” grief. I believe we continue to process it as we grow older. It’s a spectrum of experiences that continue throughout our life.

"There are 3 things we cry for life: things that are lost, things that are found, and things that a magnificent". - Douglas Coupland Don't believe crying is a sign of weakness, don't buy that machismo 19th century bullshit. Crying is fine, it is healthy . Cry for the right reason when we experience discovery, or when we look out at the world and are suddenly amaze how incredible it is. When we cry for these things, we are truly fucking alive! #keepfaith #buddy #deepconversations #friendships
We hardly receive snail-mail greeting cards these days. Is the social norm of sending greeting cards breaking down? Or is it just substitution toward the less time-intensive form of greeting? The demise of all forms of hand written communication is a depressing trend. Even I have stopped that practice after college. It does really means alot when someone sends a card/letter because they were thinking of you, wishing you well or want to thank you for being you. I believe this year's stack of cards, if kept properly , will someday be a window into the past. I save most of the greeting cards I received, particularly those that contain communication beyond the card itself. I look forward to someday sitting in my rocking chair, going through old cards and letters, and reflecting on the people and events they call to mind. The permanence of ink on paper seems to engender a greater level of attention and care for what one shares. The words you write have the postential to make a significant difference in someone's life today or years when your letter/card is rediscovered and read. Hence, don't take it lightly. Make it good, make it honest, and make it you. Thank you @alicia_grobelna your card reached just on time for chinese new year eve. i kept all cards you sent me . Your thoughtfulness is a gift I will always treasure #memory #closefriends #greetingcards #letters #grateful #appreciation
A spectacular musical show production 'Les misérables'. Just about the perfect distance from the stage too ! I got a little lost midway through the musical but managed to understand more towards the end. Thanks @ethan_edgar for inviting me 😁
Death is nothing but absence of physical presence. Whether it is the empty spot in a chair next to mum's or the eerily silent living room on a Monday morning , you are missed every way dad.
I hadn't understood cremation before, but now I do. It's ghastly to burn someone you love but watching the smoke going into sky. Yes. It ended. It's over. The flames looked beautiful but the burnt ash is just lying there now. It's a constant reminder that someone amazing once existed.
These days I put a brave face on for everyone else, but secretly I'm crumbling inside, went about the day like a person thrust on stage without any lines. When I think of you in the middle of the night, tears still roll down my cheeks unbidden, just the way it rains in this town. Missing you dearly.
