So if you know anything about me, you know I’ve been couch surfing, bumming, vaning, etc for about a year and a half now. Made it from Mexico to Alaska, went through 3 different campers, ended a relationship, lost 20 lbs, and gained quite a few unforgettable memories. Over this time I’ve been dreaming of exactly what I wanted to achieve for a living situation. I really wanted a 4x4 van that felt like home. The first one was pretty easy, just signed some papers, but the second one remained illusive for quite a while. I’ve been working on and off, in the alley behind my mom’s condo, in the middle of the desert on BLM land and out at my grandpa’s place. Most of the real work got done out there but I got a lot of time to figure out what a home needs. Its not obvious when you have those things in front of you but it gets blindingly obvious when you don’t have them… (
@faizulla_boy knows this better than anyone else) But I’ve finally reached my goal, I have my home and I gotten to place every piece of wood, wire, or tube that makes everything work. The feeling of accomplishment is pretty great, and may turn out to have perpetuated a lifelong addiction to having big dreams and figuring out the details along the way. There is more to say but I’ll save that for another time. I could not have done any of this without
@halekini . I could not have achieved this without his patience, guidance, wisdom, kindness and love and best of all, I get to enjoy those qualities whenever I’m home looking at all the work we did. That’s all for now, enough writing, more adventures await! I can’t wait to share everything I’ve learned with anyone who will listen, hit me up!
