It all started a few weeks ago when my amazing sister @cait_mccauley called and asked me if she could buy a print for a colleague at her law firm, Brett Littman. Every year at @universityofhartford @hartfordartschool in my Portfolio Preparation class I make a class zine with the graduating seniors 💐🎉✍️ The class of 2026 gave so much wonderful energy to the zine this year that I had to make 3 separate zines!! 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️ I proudly present to you: @heavyhandedzine Issue 2 Cover Art by @r4ted_pg @jeanette.jpeg and myself 🎨 This is the yearly class zine that used to be called Twenty2 Zine. The entire class of 2026 contributed by drawing over 170 entries! This zine is 60 pages of greatness! Lexi Zine Issue 1 Cover Art by @r4ted_pg @lexi_mac.art and myself 🎨 Lexi MacAlpin drew 35 zine entries this semester! That’s the most in class zine history and had to be recognized with their own zine! ? Zine Issue 1 Cover Art by @itzznotnani and myself 🎨 This zine was made to thank the 11 guest speakers who were generous enough to share their time and knowledge with our class this semester! It is made up of doodles and scribbled questions from students that were created during the class visits. Dyani Maldonado created the now iconic My Reaction to that Information class meme, and all other memes in this zine 😂 These will be available soon and I couldn’t be more proud of this graduating class and everything they’ve accomplished! 🥰 #zines #artschool #collegegrads

It’s hard to put into words how proud I am of the @hartfordartschool @universityofhartford graduating class of 2026. I’ve been teaching for 5 years now, and these are the first students that I’ve had the honor to watch grow from freshmen to college graduates 🎓 ! I’ve been so impressed with their talent, kindness, hard work and dedication. I know it will not be the last I see or hear from them, but I sure will miss seeing them week after week!
