Watching scarlet macaws fly above the jungle is always breathtaking. This was filmed at a release site where every bird was rehabilitated and returned to the wild. Today they are thriving, reproducing on their own, and forming one of the healthiest macaw populations I have seen in Guanacaste.

There’s a specific kind of silence that happens when a jaguar locks eyes with you. Your heart skips a beat and everything else just goes quiet.
We stood there for a few minutes under the full moon, just watching each other. No aggression, just total awareness. Eventually, he broke eye contact and went back to the tide line to keep looking for sea turtles. Gnarly experience to say the least.

This morning it was a jaguar.
She walked out to the edge of a cliff at sunrise and sat for a moment, watching the light spill over the coastline, almost as if she was enjoying the view the same way we do. Then she disappeared back into the jungle.
A quiet reminder that we share this wild place with incredible neighbors.
