Tron: Ares came out this weekend! Wow, what a ride!! We made this movie over the course of 3 years. Prep in 2023 pre- & post-strike, then shot it in 2024, reshooting a whole new ending in Jan 2025 and lastly, Mocap’ing parts of the reshoots in April. Thanks @jonkralt for the opportunity and being a great leader. @montestunts and your rigging team for flying us around safely and helping us R&D some cool shots using the 3D winches. Thanks @alexkyshkovych and @josh.maz.writes for a fun time collaborating on the fights. @_markrayner for always having our backs. @gostunts (Scott Rogers) for guiding us in the right direction. And of course, big thanks to the doubles and core team, for their months of hard work shooting and reshooting the same pre-vis’ over and over again. We’ve lost count of how many versions we have. First instructions were only hard hitting “MMA-style”, then we needed to add cool wire work, back to super basic moves, then to a school yard brawl feel for a bit, plus an Usher music video inspired section at the 11th hour; finally ending up with a strange mix of it all. That opening sequence was, hands down, the most expensive 💰 Previs I’ve been a part of 😂. I know, Tron has never been about the fights but it’s still too bad, most of the cool stuff we developed and actually shot, didn’t make it to the big screen. …but that’s how it goes sometimes . Overall, after missing out on wearing @aarontoney ’s Black Guard suit from Tron: Legacy, to finally putting on the Red Guard & Encom light suits this time around, coordinating the fights, and swapping in last minute for the finale sequence, I had a blast!! Tons of unforgettable moments along this journey! The light cycles chase was super cool, set design was freaking amazing, and the visuals were awesome. I was doing a lot of Previz’ing and editing these last few weeks and it reminded me of this one; one of my favorite stunt Previz’s we shot. Those times we get to shoot on the actual set with lighting vs cardboard boxes makes such a difference 😂 . Star Wars: “Duel of the Fates” was the original music for this. Around this time, 20 years ago, we wrapped up filming “The Last Samurai”. That was a wild ride! 1st time on a huge movie, 1st time being away from home for 4 months, and we had over 550 performers for some scenes. We started with 2 weeks of training, and then pretty much was on set everyday until we were done. Met a ton of great people, learned to surf, travelled all around NZ the last 2 weeks, did a rally racing driving course, and unwillingly, got in my 1st bar fight. Although this doesn’t feel like yesterday anymore, I still remember every major moment of that trip. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I’m glad I got to share it with these people (RIP Koichi). So a few weeks ago we went to Toronto’s, Center Island, for a 🚲 ride. It was the first time the weather was actually warm☀️. We rode around for a while, and ended up on Hanlan’s 🏖️, which was mostly empty by then, except for a couple enthusiasts (IYKYK) 😂. Popped the question 💍 before it got too 🥶. Had to asked it twice because it was too windy 🌬️ the first time and she didn’t hear it. She said, “YES!” 🥰 Can’t wait for life’s new adventures with you!!! Love you @justinaparkk

Dad, it’s been 2 years since you’ve been gone and we miss you. We recorded this for you last year but I forgot to post it. This was a the first Cantonese duet you taught Michelle and I to sing. Took me a few tires to get all the words right since it’s been a while. I didn’t realize what day it was until Michelle mentioned it in the car this morning. Mom, Michelle, Tyson and I had a great day skiing on Blackcomb. Then we ran into your good friend, Paul, at the restaurant who secretly paid for our dinner before he left. Love you Dad.

We saw an IG Reel earlier last year featuring these swimming pigs 🐷 and decided we needed to go see this for ourselves. We went to the Bahamas for 5 days but almost missed our chance because the tour kept getting cancelled due to heavy rain 🌧️ storms. We extended our trip by a day and finally, on the last day, went to Exuma to feed Iguanas 🦎 , pet Nurse Sharks 🦈 , tour the islands and swim with pigs 🐖 . Surprisingly, we enjoyed the nurse sharks the best, the pigs were cool but the bigger ones were pretty aggressive at times if they saw you had bread 🍞.
