It was such a pleasure to work on this recently completed commission (“Enchantment,” acrylic on canvas, 60”x48”), and it was an added delight that the patron was so easy to work with. Looking forward to starting on another commission in April with a new patron. Between these, two shows, and work on a new series of paintings, it’s proving to be a productive Spring!
Very happy to announce my upcoming solo exhibition of paintings at the Township of Langley Civic Gallery, running from March 14 to May 7. Entitled, “Space Within, Space Without,” the paintings in this exhibit - 15 in all - explore the relationship between assumed perception and contexts that are ethereal, and thus more ambiguous. While each individual painting is immersive, viewers will find the collection as a whole to be an invitation to contemplation and reflection. The Township of Langley Civic Gallery is located on the 2nd floor of 20338 65 Avenue.
Be sure to swing by Eastside Atelier this coming Saturday, Feb 7, from 12 to 4pm, for an opportunity to visit artists in their studio, and discover and chat about their work in a casual and welcoming setting. Featured at this month’s First Saturday at the Atelier will be Valentine and love-themed art making that you can participate in. BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE! As part of my pre-Spring studio cleaning, I’ll be offering selected paintings at significant discount - recent pieces as well as some paintings that might surprise you.
