We are delighted to present our monthly subscribers' package for May 2026. This month's offering spans an entire spectrum - from reading Frankenstein through an Indic lens, to understanding kavaca and rakṣā stotras, a featured art essay on Śrī Hari-Hara, the Nītisāra series and access to recordings of a popular Bṛhat Draṣṭā course. Frankenstein is misread as a tale of monstrosity. It is, instead, an inquiry into creation without responsibility. What happens when life is made but not sustained through relation? A philosophical reflection across Western thought, dharma, and the Puruṣa Sūkta by Dr. Anurag Shukla. Kavacas and Rakṣā stotras are not mere words but a strong symbol of eternal refuge. These are calls seeking divine intervention. And we've seen it answered always, writes Raj Bijalwan. Hari-Hara, a sophisticated visual and theological construct that reconciles Śaiva and Vaiṣṇava traditions through nuanced iconography, regional stylistic variation, and shifting political contexts. Read this month's art essay by Sai Priya C. The Nītisāra series by Dr. Srinivas Jammalamadaka features a session video and learning snapshots for The Power of Daṇḍa: Justice and Governance and two standalone articles offering perspectives on the art of balanced governance and daṇḍa as the bulwark against matsya-nyāya. We are happy to offer access to the session recordings of Itīhāsa from a Śāstric Lens: empowering learners to critically understand the narratives and characters of the Rāmāyaṇa and the Mahābhārata. For Access: Login to your members dashboard and click on the course card within the May 2026 section. We invite you to this exploration and look forward to your comments and feedback. Kṛṣṇa offered a choice before the Mahābhārata war: Duryodhana chose Kṛṣṇa's Nārāyaṇī senā(the army of Lord Krishna). And, Arjuna chose Kṛṣṇa. Do you know whose symbol flew on Arjuna’s chariot flag? Write your answer in the comments below.

What does the rise of “Hindu Religious Entrepreneurship” tell us about business today? 🌍 Across India, a new wave of ventures is emerging—deeply rooted in Dharma, culture, and tradition. From digital platforms for spiritual engagement to innovation within pilgrimage and temple ecosystems, these are not just “niche” businesses. They raise a bigger question: 👉 Are our dominant theories of entrepreneurship equipped to understand culturally and spiritually embedded forms of enterprise? In our latest piece for LSE Business Review, we explore how this phenomenon: •Challenges Western-centric assumptions •Brings Indian Knowledge Systems into focus •Expands how we think about value, innovation, and enterprise Ultimately, this is about something larger: 👉 Reimagining entrepreneurship through Global South perspectives 📖 Read the LSE article: /businessreview/2026/05/14/the-rise-of-hindu-religious-entrepreneurship-and-what-it-tells-us-about-decolonising-indian-business/ 📄 Research paper (ERD): /doi/full/10.1080/08985626.2026.2635670 #Entrepreneurship #Dharma #IndianKnowledgeSystems #Decolonisation #GlobalSouth

Traditionally, a village was never built around one centralized reservoir because access was not just about efficiency. It was about space, purity, work, conflict, ecology, and social order. When traditional small water bodies were replaced by a few large ones during British rule, it was not simply “modernization”, it created conflict as it shifted from distributed, purpose-based commons to a centralized state-managed infrastructure. Brhat had the opportunity to be a part of the International Conference on “Spirituality, Education & Patriotism – Contribution of Swami Chinmayananda and Beyond” hosted by CVV, CIFSS and @cif_official_ @global_chinmayamission @chinmaya_vishwa_vidyapeeth As part of the conference, Shri Raghava Krishna @raghava_krishna81 was invited as a panelist for the discussion on Patriotism, alongside Anuradha Choudry and Narendra Joshi, with the session moderated by Brahmachari Ved Chaitanya. @ved_chaitanya Drawing from a civilizational lens, his reflections emphasised patriotism as a lived responsibility rooted in dharma, cultural continuity, and national consciousness, extending beyond narrow political frameworks. Representing Brhat, Cherish Rajpurohit @cherishpurohit presented a paper titled: “Modern Interpretations of Vedānta: Swami Chinmayananda and India’s Cultural Renaissance.” The paper explored how Swami Chinmayananda rearticulated Advaita Vedānta for modern audiences while contributing to a wider cultural and intellectual renaissance in post-independence India. One of the most enriching aspects of the conference was the opportunity to engage with scholars, monastics, and practitioners working across disciplines, all attempting in different ways to reconnect knowledge with lived civilizational frameworks. In the presence of Swami Tejomayananda and Swami Swaroopananda, the conference also became a moment of reflection on the extraordinary institutional and intellectual legacy of Swami Chinmayananda over the past 75 years. @swamiswaroopananda His work continues to inspire scholarship, spiritual inquiry, and cultural confidence across generations.

Education, as Svāmī Vivekananda envisioned it, is not merely the transfer of information; it is a profound journey of inner discovery. It is about awakening the mind, strengthening individual thought, and aligning it with shared values that bind us as a civilization. From the eternal wisdom of Śruti to the evolving practices of Smṛti, Svāmī jī reminds us to distinguish the essential from the inessential. And it is this focus on essentials that can carry Indic ideas powerfully to the next generation.
