Great to be back racing motorcycles with human beings 🇺🇸. Last weekend @baggerracingleague Big Twin GP racing was quite the American long-bomb huck. We finished this new RSD Indian Chief Wednesday night, I ran it thru the gears on the streets of Los Alamitos to make sure nothing fell off & loaded it in the van and hammered down 12 hours to Utah. Great to finally spin some spanners for Pikes Peak KOM @renski33 .
After a long day of changes, he fast qualified by the skin of his teeth. Back at the ranch, @guyomundo finished machining the custom high-clearance primary and clutch cover that we designed, so we threw Rennie’s friend Jasper on a plane Saturday night and he delivered to me at the bar in Salt Lake City at 11:00pm. Up at 5 to install and made all the difference. Won the race by 15 seconds and ran fastest lap in class of 1:44.
Development racing is all I’ve known and it seems to work. Rather be lucky than good any day! Always fun being the underdogs in a sea of Harleys. There’s definitely something about these 49° air cooled pushrod Indians.
Cheers to all of these working-class racers building and refining their bikes and putting down solid laps. So much heart and skill in this paddock. Probably what roadracing was like in the 70’s. Great seeing tons of familiar faces. Been too long. Thanks for the pics @ganjagrunt

We all have an ego. Most of mine died many years ago when I almost did. Real talk - stuff about myself is hard for me to post. Times have changed a lot but it humbles me even more when I see things like a picture of me plastered on a building, and now the same image on a skate deck too. 20 year old me would’ve expected it, 21 year old me thought life was over, 40 year old me is just proud I never quit and grateful for everything that has come my way. #teamnevergiveup #workhardernobodycares

Herniated disc hiatus. 9/8/20-3/3/21
Well, my life project needed another major retrofit. Got another exploded disc yanked that was pushing on my spinal canal, bone spur deburr, spinous process chop job + a plate, 16 screws, 6 posts & 2 rods. Six months down and 90% healed. Odds were a year and like 85% I think. Multiple issues I was having throughout my body all have just about subsided. Still got some bone healing to do but this the absolute best I’ve felt in years. When you live your life in pain, it’s easy to forget what healthy even felt like.
Thank god for my surgeon Dr. Gregory Carslon and his amazing team @restoreortho for taking on this shipwreck, when I first got hurt in 2001, and keeping it afloat for more rowdy excursions through treacherous waters. Feels good to have the main sail hoisted again.
Thanks and love to @yowasha for doing everything and keeping the crew inline while I was dry docked for repairs. ❤️

So unbelievably proud and happy for my girl @yowasha . Won her first comeback race last weekend in the new @district37_ama women’s vet class. 🏆
She was back-to-back @nhharacing champion in 2009 & 2010 but hasn’t raced for 10 years. Bike has been prepped and ready since 2012 but life was turbulent and racing wasn’t in the cards. Then she exploded her hand riding up in Canada. 3 years and 4 surgeries later she is finally ready to settle her unfinished business. She’s been thru the ringer but dug deep and she’s officially back in the saddle. @kurtcaselli66 always said she had one more championship in her and gave her these wheels to help get her bike dialed in. Thanks to @wrench_42_motorsports for getting a @rekluse_motorsports clutch in her bike at the last minute! Rad to be back in the desert with the familia and watch Jo Jo chase her dreams. Love you crazy lady. Need to work on your starts, and your finishes so you don’t take out anymore chairs. When’s the next one? Let’s go!🌵#KC66

We were the only gringos in Guadalupe Wash. Well, us and @ironmanstewart at this exact moment. Rad to dig up these old photos and reminisce of when we turned 18 and could finally cross the border to Mexico and see what @scoreinternational Baja races were all about. Before GPS, before highway speed limits, pure lawless Wild West racing. This ended up being Ivan Stewart’s last victory in Baja and his 17th Baja 500 win. It was always a dream to see him drive his trophy truck solo across the Mexican desert so, this was a bucket list check for me. His son got injured that same day when Jason Baldwin rolled his trophy truck into a crowd of people, so Ivan decided to retire from racing and focus his time on safety efforts with SCORE. 🇲🇽 #vivabaja #ivanironmanstewart #ironman #baja500
