Happy to share that my work has been registered as Human Authored under the @thesocietyofauthors scheme.
I haven’t done this because I oppose AI—there’s writers doing some really interesting things with gen-AI—I just want readers to know how I write my books before they buy them.
I use AI-powered tools to help with spelling (I’m dyslexic) and to run analysis on my stories, but all the words, plots, characters and em dashes are dragged out of my tea-powered brain 💚💕

I made a promise to Harriet, the MC in Sheep’s Clothing, that if we won the Libraro Prize, I’d buy her a MilkyWay, just like Jed does in the novel.
I know this probably sounds crazy, but to me Harriet is very real. And I am so glad that soon, you’ll all get to know her too. 💙

I’m staying in my childhood bedroom which hasn’t changed much in 30 years, and every cupboard I open, there’s a box of my books! When I moved to Oz, it was just too expensive to ship them. So it was lovely rediscovering these hardback classics.
We didn’t have a lot growing up, but when I was about 11, my dad bought me this book collection where I’d get a book and a magazine about the life and times of the author each month for a year.
It was this collection that sparked my everlasting love for Wuthering Heights 💚And wouldn’t you know it, I flicked through and found a childhood bookmark still in its pages 🙂
