Crankworx Rotorua was a treat last weekend!! Thankful for the peer pressure from @conor_macfarlane , @robin_riding_hood and @elevatetrailbuilding and crew! Rode the Crankworx course for the first time in 10 years 🚀Rode the McGazza train 🚂 Did a backie (onto an airbag, so it doesn’t count) and pedalled uphill!!!! We did our best to Judge the contest which was insane! The riding level is crazy these days!! Loved every minute! Thanks everyone!!🤘🤘
Mcgazza fest 2026! 🤘🤘🤘10 years missing everyone’s best mate. His legacy continues to motivate people to get out there and quote…. ‘punch life in the face’. I have had some of the best times of my life on that hill for 20 plus years riding Dream track and very happy to get out there for another year!!! Huge thanks to everyone who helped uncover some Frew farm relics from under a layer of grass or tarps this past weekend…..!! We had almost all the jumps running, the zip line resurrected and a super fun couple of days and nights. Recent trip to Rotorua for Crankworx was so fun! Got a new bike and rode uphill 5 days in a row. Watched the slope boys and girls do incredible stunts. Met some new friends, and had a beer with old friends. Good times at McGazza fest on the weekend!! Amazing day riding and leading out the train of 100 riders was a real honour. We sent it for the riders that are here, and the ones we sadly miss every session #leo #mcgazza .Vibes were all time and thanks to everyone involved. It used to be a lot easier to get in laps when it was only 6 of us that would ride these jumps in 2004 😀😀. Huge shoutout and healing vibes to the #godfather of Dream Track and Gorge rd @mrdirtfarmernz heal up well mate and we will shred again soon. Last weekend was a treat! Thanks to everyone who helped out to create what turned into an awesome ride on Sunday after a big dig/bbq/beer sesh the Saturday and more digging on Sunday. Thankful to the crew! First ride after Leo passed away and I know he would have loved it ❤️❤️❤️, he wouldn’t have missed a good sesh, and Boy do I/we miss him so much 😔 Rest In Peace Leo Calcasola we won’t forget about ya mate
Recently found some Tawaka mushrooms growing out of an old Elderberry tree here on the farm. I had never seen them before or recognised what they were. So happy to add that to the list of forage foods that are so fun to find and so much flavour! #tawaka #forage #freefood
