Big Sur Day 1 - celebrating 60 years of Pet Sounds with @aljardine409 of @thebeachboys on his home turf. Discussing layered clothing, Beachwood Sparks snuggling up next to The Beach Boys in the record store bins , the ocean air corrosion of the console in his Red Barn Studios and finally his lovely partner Mary Ann telling us a story of Brian giving Al official credit for starting The Beach Boys. What a thrill!!!
I can’t say enough good things about my experience at this wonderful space in Carmel California. Everyone at @laplayaca are so incredibly warm and accommodating @budsatlaplaya Bud’s got festive despite the early hours. It seems Carmel likes to party between 6-10 and then enjoy the beautiful Carmel Bay Pacific breeze lull you into a great night sleep. I’m so glad everyone liked the music. I’m not a party D.j. I’m a “dusty” D.j.. I play The records that I’ve collected my life, my favorites and people seem to make a nice connection with them, especially my friends from Louisiana from India and a lot of of the locals thanks so much to. @folkyeahevents for the wonderful opportunity. I had such a good time. Let’s do it again.

A good friend from well before the iPhone era (blurry pics)- a great memory, among many was Gregg playing SOUL music at Dawnridge the Tony Duquette house, perched on the upper floor while we all danced below for Commune Design 2015 Holiday party. He was perfect in that elegant yet unique design…we hung out in the leopard print stairwell and talked about our days touring together with The Delta 72 and Beachwood Sparks…living through dark times and coming into the light…
