LILIES/GROW A HOME (OR DIE TRYING)
This song is for those who can’t find home, for whatever reason. It came to me at an afters, the most sober in the room and staring into a new friend’s tattoo. I should have been home long ago, but when I went to find it…. it was not where I left it. So I stayed and wrote this song in my head while someone talked about David Lynch films and some masterclass they’d seen. This writing stemmed some more, which stemmed some more, which grew into something I cannot wait to share with you. Please have more patience for me than I have for myself.
Between then and now, I’ve screamed it anywhere and everywhere I could, with as many friends as possible. And I will continue to do so for as long as my rattling voice will allow.
This song means the world to me and to share this silly little scream-a-long has put a very wide and bright smile on this tired face. one thing is always true: I do it all for the wee man. I hope you enjoy x
