PART 1 | #BiblicalModesty I CAN ONLY BE HONEST — This is my story! šŸ”ƒRepost so it finds the right audience. I was brought up in a liberal church so nobody taught me about modesty so I do not come from the background of modesty being shoved down my throat or even being judged (I know that’s some of y’alls story) so I had to go on my own journey and find out what God thinks about the way I chose to dress. Many people say ā€œGod doesn’t care about how we dressā€ ā€œit’s about the heartā€ but my question is when was the last time you asked Him? & What does His Word say? I’m so glad my #modestyjourney did not start with someone forcing me or judging me — it started with education, and I’m so glad I was open to learning what pleased the Lord for myself! So that’s the angle I want to take with this conversation because it’s a really sensitive one, I now realise the reason many of us struggle with this topic is because how we dress is an identity issue, how we express ourselves and who we are!! It’s deeper than clothing. God cut straight to the root of the matter, it was my heart: it was pride, it was vanity, it was insecurity. Lord, I don’t want to be invisible, I don’t want to be ignored. Lord how will my husband find me if I cover up the good parts? The Bible tells us: lean not on our own understanding (Proberbs 3:5), there is a way that seems right to a (wo)man but the end is death (Prov 14:12) There is so much to discuss. THIS IS MY STORY. [REPOST!] THIS IS THE @STMODEBRAND STORY. THIS COULD BE YOUR STORY TOO… WILL YOU JOIN #THEQUIETREVOLUTIONOFMODESTY? WILL YOU GIVE THE LORD YOUR YES? WILL YOU SURRENDER YOUR NEED TO BE SEEN BY OTHERS? WILL YOU LAY DOWN YOUR WEAPONS OF SEXY? WILL YOU TRUST GOD WITH WHATEVER YOU’RE TRYING TO ACHIEVE? I said this was a revolution and I meant it!!! @stmodebrand will be launching in 1 HOUR and yes I want you to buy our dresses and feel so beautiful in them but… the Lord also wants to do business with you, the Lord wants your heart, He wants His daughters back. ā€œDo not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.ā€ ‭‭I John‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ #BiblicalModesty #MakeModestyBeautifulAgain

PART 11 | #BiblicalModesty - YOU DON’T NEED A NEW BODY, YOU NEED NEW CLOTHES!!! Over the years, cosmetic surgery has seen a serge amongst women, the BBL also known as a (Brazilian Butt Lift) being the most popular. And as someone who has had this surgery (howbeit unsuccessfully) after I got the surgery I noticed my dressing changed, all of a sudden, I wanted to show more of my body, all the clothes I wore were tight clothes, I morphed into a ā€œbaddieā€ after the surgery. All of a sudden I could wear all of the ā€œlatest fashionsā€ and look like the images on the website. Fashion brands like #FashionNova capitalise off of this and are known for their models having unrealistic, surgery enhanced body types that distort how natural un-enhanced female shoppers feel about their own bodies when they buy their clothes and it doesn’t look the same on them … that’s because the body is not included in the purchase… For three years I’ve been wanting to make this documentary entitled ā€œDying To Be Prettyā€ which explores cosmetic surgery and our endless pursuits of trying to achieve the unachievabld. I think I’ll finally start working on it this week. You’ll be able to watch over on my YouTube channel when it’s out. But tell me in the comments, have you ever felt the need to go under the knife to attain the popular body type so that you could ā€œlook better in clothesā€ Do you agree with this revelation? Let’s hear your thoughts on the comments. Full interview is on @trendcntrl — interviewed by the lovely @mideoni_ šŸ’—āœØ My makeup done by @freedzmua šŸ’‹ I’m wearing @stmodebrand Junia dress is brown 🐻

It’s not a sin to look beautiful, it’s not even a sin to wear makeup but there was a lustful spirit that came with putting on this Jezebel identity, it wasn’t me, it was an image I projected, an image of confidence, an image of sex appeal, an image that looked like femininity but was actually a heavy form of protection — nobody could see the real me, not even me. The perfect look was the mask I put on and projected to the world because I didn’t want anyone to truly know or see me because if people truly knew or saw the real me they would reject me so I gave them the image they couldn’t reject… Perfect Breeny… yet in reality I was only rejecting myself. Then the Lord stripped me, no more hiding from Him, no more hiding from me. For over a year as the Lord was doing his inner work in me, I wore little to no makeup and mostly covered my head — I was hidden, out of reach but I was FREEE. Not because anyone told me to but because I was tired of being objectified and objectifying myself and so free from the world’s expectations, free from what the world calls ā€œattractiveā€ I was able to heal and find me. I was able to know and see that TRUE beauty comes from fearing the Lord ( Proverbs 31:30 ) TRUE beauty comes from a gentle and quiet spirit ( 1 Peter 3:4 ) TRUE beauty comes from the heart of a woman who trusts in the Lord and makes HIM her confidence. Again, it is not a sin to look beautiful, makeup is not a sin, hair extensions are not a sin but using these created things to create an image that is not real is dishonouring to yourself, dishonouring to God who made you fearfully an wonderfully and a dishonour to your fellow neighbour who wants to connect with THE REAL YOU. Now those who have spiritual eyes can see the clear difference in demeanour, before and after, and some may say hey! But I liked the former and I know… the former is hard for a lot of us to let go because it works! It’s provocative! Gets the people going! *lol* *continued in comment section* #biblicalmodesty #makemodestybeautifulagain

I really appreciate how she answered this with compassion without compromising the truth. You can speak truth in love but the listener also has to be willing to receive it. When we talk about #Modesty, it goes far deeper than clothing. A spirit of lust is always hungry for attention, and the thing about lust is that it’s never satisfied (ask me how I know). No amount of attention can fill that VOID, because what we’re actually longing for is LOVE—real, unconditional acceptance. Lust is a temporary hole filler but it never last, we know exactly what outfit to put on that’s going to get all eyes on us and those cheap looks, those cheap validations, those cheap compliments, those cheap encounters may feel good in the moment — It can feel like we ā€œwon.ā€ But then we go home, alone, look in the mirror, and feel the quiet weight of trading something precious for something fleeting. And that desire for true love? It doesn’t disappear—it compounds. The man you think you are going to attract with that sexy outfit, you will for sure attract him but it will only be for one purpose, SEX! Doesn’t your soul crave more? Don’t you deserve more? Don’t you deserve to be cherished, honored, and treated like a princess by a man you love and respect? Like @kittiejrose said, you can change your clothes but if you do not allow God to deliver you from the spirit of lust and fill you with His Holy Spirit of LOVE you will only end up robbing yourself with the same results. I wish for all women to know that they are so worthy of love and respect ā™„ļø What do you think? Credit: @tonightsconversation #BiblicalModesty #MakeModestyBeautifulAgain

ā€œDon’t start a modest fashion, women don’t want itā€ ā€œThis is bad timing women want to be freeā€ ā€œThis is misogynistic, let women wear what they want to wearā€ Good thing I don’t answer to man, but God! PLEASE READ ME | This is emotional for me… the day I launched @stmodebrand I was praying and praising God and I truly felt for the FIRST time in my life God was pleased with my offering, pleased with my sacrifice, pleased with my obedience, see we can do many things in the ā€œname of Jesusā€ but He ain’t in much of it at all, for years I was building my own name and attaching Jesus to it, but it was all for me and all for my glory. Even though I have a fashion degree I never thought I’d use it again, but God pulled a uno reverse on me and called me to something greater, something higher, something transcendent — He called me to His service. What a labour of love this last month has been and the many years leading up to it. I wanted to throw in the towel many times, I questioned whether this was all even necessary, but through it all we have prevailed and will continue to prevail. God is within her she shall not fall. @stmodebrand can never fail because God is the CEO and I have no shame attaching His name to this brand because it is HIS BRAND I am just a privileged steward. To all of you who are in transition or may be having doubts about walking away from your career, your job, your security in obedience to what God has ACTUALLY called you to do, take heart, God is with you, you can never ever fail! ā™„ļø #MakeModestyBeautifulAgain
