Rooted in Oakland. Built with purpose. Executed at the highest level. 130+ athletes, operators, founders, marketers, lawyers, investors, and culture shapers under one rooftop. Deep appreciation and admiration for the partners who helped bring this to life @breakingbreadproduction and @160over90 . Endless thanks for the words of our featured speakers Marcus Stroud and Erik Moses as they poured into the room. And the biggest flex? Every conversation mattered. People actually connected. ASW 🏀x Breaking Bread 🤝 Last week the team hosted NBA Rookie of the Year, 9 year veteran and Founder/CEO of MCW Enterprises Michael Carter-Williams (@mcarterwilliams ). Gems were shared on how he’s been able to hoop both on and off the court. Transitioning to the corporate arena and building a company that focuses on purpose driven ventures that leave a lasting legacy. As always, thank you to our resident partner The Gathering Spot (@lagathers ) for bringing this one home and to our favorite DJ (@dj_alist ) for curating the vibes. Lastly, shoutout to the community — #BreakingBread fam as we’ve got more to come in 2026. 🎬🎬🎬 #WeBreakBread

Our cups are full! 💜 ‘The Power Players Mixer’ was everything we could have dreamed of and more. To do it in Oakland confirmed the intentionality of the gathering. To see so many (new and old) faces in direct support of each other reaffirmed our mission. Huge thanks to our featured speakers Erik Moses and Marcus Stroud for dropping gems and leading us in community throughout the afternoon. Special shoutout to our partners @160over90 , @breakingbreadproduction , @high5iverooftopbar @fabletics and @flerish . And big ups to all our attendees! We’ll run it back soon ✨ 📸: @cancerblake

Through MCW Enterprises, Michael is focused on purpose-driven ventures across real estate, wellness, mental health advocacy, and strategic partnerships, all rooted in a mission to help athletes and communities build ownership, create generational impact, and successfully transition beyond the game.
