Crusoe the cat died peacefully 3 days ago. Not her real name, she was the thumbnail for a song (lyrics below) about the frustration felt when those you know ignore your posts on social issues in favour of sharing cute cat videos. She died the day before the release of my latest song "Let's Talk About", eerily enough about the same idea that people don't interest themselves in the world around, and by extension facilitate things getting worse. Plus ça change ...
She lost weight over the last few months, but she wasn't in pain and lived her last days well. She was found lying down in a spot at the end of the garden next to our olive tree. Make what you will of that.
She'll be sorely missed. RIP, there's no heaven if cats aren't in it.
How’s your job with no point?
How’s monotonous grind
Follow orders they give
Pay the credit that binds
Make a Facebook account
Find some 400 friends
Is it kittens they like
Not the things that you send?
True opinions lie low
Leaving you like Crusoe
Social Media Farce
All our heads up our arse
Sate the urge to be seen
Make an internet meme
Give it plenty of zing
But it won’t change a thing
Suffer Life on this earth
Sophia’s promethean fire
All the hatred they sell
With the plots they conspire
Magic bullets abound
Watch three crumbling towers
Your fake freedom of speech
Taped on telephone wires
What are you supposed to do?
Are they looking at you?
Do you keep your mouth shut?
Well believe it or not
You are not on your own
To know fears overblown
By establishment lies
To keep us down to size.

"Let's Talk About". Because some just don't want to talk about genocide. Another home made video for my amateur efforts. Thanks to the Pexel contributers for allowing their content to be used. Hope you like it 🥴

From "That Difficult Third Tower", thought I'd put this up here. Written in the early 90's, recorded early 20's. Love songs eh? #music #lovesong #fyp ... and as always #freepalestine
Mimi On The March (Why Should I Do What You Say?) Shazam for links (I'd have used the Insta music thing but couldn't get it to start at the right spot. Social media isn't my thing🥴) Hope you like it. See you on the streets. Stay safe out there.

Tom's song : music from 2002. Thought I'd put this up before tomorrow's release of "Tom Upstairs (Castled on the Queen side)". Bet you won't recognise it 🥴👍 #music #fyp
Out 7th November: A 10th anniversary acoustic version of "This Journey" from Rumblestrip Lullabies. Featuring Ruby Alaisha Richardson on vocals, the sparse arrangement builds from gentle guitar to an intense, fast-strumming finale that drives the song home.
