On June 1, 2020, Trump had ordered for law enforcement to use tear gas, pepper spray, and flash bangs to push away peaceful protesters so he could walk unbothered to St. John’s Episcopal Church for a photo shoot where he would hold up a bible not his bible but in his words “a bible” which he held upside.
In this found objects work I wanted to highlight this terrible action that feels to have just be forgotten by most people, as someone who sat down that day and watched this footage on the new it has never left me once. I’ve grow appalled by the use of religion in are political climate. Every time I’ve heard religion brought up it’s always used as an excuse or a way to say look he’s a good man he follows the Bible. But it’s all a blatant act. I pasted a stain glass piece of Jesus on the tv so the thought of what trump was hiding behind sits at the forefront of your through while you watch his actions take place. This work has video play though a crt television that’s slowly losing its true color always leaving its display with a red tint.
Just picked this gold pearl 300ZX. I wanted to learn a new platform and this one just fell into my hands. It was abandoned and it’s in the process of getting a new title made.
