VANISHING - A Film by Dennis Cook I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dennis ( @475films ) to create a narrative short film set to music using a cover of “I Still Talk to Jesus” by LANY. Dennis had his heart set on creating films for the last 15 years. When I got to Song House to be their videographer, a few days in, I met Dennis and IMMEDIATELY knew he was one of the best storytellers I’d ever come across. Soon after, we’d get to talking about our goals, which led to me hearing about how he wanted to make short films and he needed help. Some people call it fate, I call it a God thing, but we were against all normal odds able to create a short film that recounts Dennis’s relationship with a friend slowly fading from Alzheimer’s. We just wrapped the visualizer for @justinlove “You, I Belong With” in the middle of the night here in Nashville. Creating while the city sleeps hits different… especially when the setting is this unexpected.
