Lovely review from LONDON FRINGE THEATRE REVIEW. “Directed by Orsolya Nagy, the production features strong performances from Rowland D. Hill and Simon Brandon, with Kenneth Michaels providing standout comedic relief in Charlie. While Charlie offers a biting critique of power, Striptease is the evening’s highlight-a Kafkaesque masterpiece where two likable businessmen are systematically stripped of their dignity by an unseen authority, a mysterious hand.”
Really enjoyable and thought-provoking evening at The Golden Goose Theatre @goldengoosetheatre watching two 1960’s absurdist plays from a Polish playwright (Slawomir Mrozek) living uner the Soviet system.
Niche, perhaps, but highly entertaining and still highly relevant dissections of the nature of power and subservience, and how it could be very easy to lose oneself within a power system, whatever your initial ethical starting point. Well done to the whole cast and director - discussed the ins and outs of this for a couple of hours afterwrds!
