Asymmetrical button jacket
Made with a wool/poly knit outer shell and cotton Japanese herringbone poplin lining
Remake of one of my favorite pieces from my “Push My Buttons” collection as special gift for my sewing instructor at UCD. Took this as a chance to make some improvements from the original with the addition of a much needed lining and a tag.

Over 1 year of wear
Made from a 13oz black denim with a wide leg straight cut
These things have been glued to me over the past year, being worn almost daily. I used to rock them with a big cuff but I torn a giant hole in it and ended up just hemming them. Also replaced the pocket button and reinforced it sometime ago.

Pleated baggy sweats
Made from a grey French terry dyed black
6 pleats on the front and 4 more on the back. Features welt zipper pockets all the way around and a drawstring waistband. First time experimenting with a tag on my clothing, definitely doing more goin forward!

Made from a 12oz slub indigo denim
Inspired by old western wear with curved front and back yolk. This pair has a six pocket design featuring a coin pocket, button closure back pockets and a mini welt pocket. Had so much fun working on this pair, the denim is insanely beautiful!

Wide leg straight cut jeans
Made from 13oz black denim
I started this pair in a batch with two others in late 2024 and I nearly cut my finger off when I was making them 😭😭 finally got around to finishing them a few months ago

Made from 14.5 oz black cone denim
Carpenter pants with a twist! First time making barrel leg jeans and doing appliqué. Features hammer loop, carpenter pocket, and elongated back pocket.

Upcycled pleated pants
From thrifted curtains into a pair of pants. I wanted to create as little waste as possible on this pair by utilizing as much of the fabric as I could. The larger offcuts were used for the pocket bags and welts.
The last slide shows the amount of material left over. Some pieces can still be used and the smaller pieces will likely be used as stuffing for other projects

Quick upcycle turning curtains into pants
I drafted directly onto the fabric, trying to create as little waste as I can

Inside Out Reversible Jeans
Hand made in Vallejo, CA with a two sided striped denim from Japan
With this pair, my goal was to show off both sides of the fabric while keeping a clean finish inside and out. Not perfect by any means but definitely was a learning experience figuring out how to finish the edges without having a lining to hide the seams.

Push My Buttons - A Branmade Signature Collection
2/2
With all of the time spent sewing, escaping, healing, there have been many layers built up protecting, and making it difficult to reach the person underneath. Within my collection, this idea is reflected in a literal sensewith each look gradually containing more and more layers of clothing. Additionally, the use of many buttonsmakes it challenging to get through these layers. The title of the collection “Push My Buttons,” is a nod to this aspect, showing why these layers were built in the first place while at the same time calling out for someone to break through them. Another common theme within my collection is the idea of healing. This can be seen through the wrapping elements and diagonal layers, which are inspired by bandages and bandaging techniques. -Branmade
