This week at BrainStation London’s Marketing Mornings, we sat down with Kasper Garnell, Global Brand Vice President at @joeandthejuice , to talk about the brand’s growth from a local concept to a global name 🌍
The conversation explored what it really takes to build a brand people genuinely connect with, while scaling fast without losing the experience and identity that made people care in the first place.
One idea that really stuck with us:
💡“You need to think - How do we create a global strategy but make sure we don’t lose local touches and local anchoring?”

To close out our first Horizons Summit series, we brought Horizons New York: AI + Digital Innovation to our SoHo space.
Leaders from Interbrand, Bilt, Airbnb, JPMC, Replit, and more came together for a full day of conversations spanning marketing, design, product, and AI.
From leading through market disruption and designing for trust, to building brands through community and exploring how AI agents are reshaping software and workflows, the day explored the ideas defining the future of digital innovation.
Thanks to everyone who joined us in New York.
We’re already looking ahead to the next Horizons Summit series this fall. Request a ticket through the link in our bio.
This April, BrainStation London hosted a dynamic series of conversations, welcoming leaders from across the tech landscape to explore the future of product, design, marketing, and AI.
Leaders from companies like Meta, YouTube, Monzo, and more, shared their playbooks on everything from scaling human-centred content, to crafting user experiences for millions. We also took a deep dive into the evolving financial sector with fintech panels featuring experts from NatWest, Lloyds, Barclaycard, and JPMorgan Chase.
As teams navigate a new era of AI tooling, a standout moment came during our Product Evenings session where Shailendra Kumar, Product Lead at WhatsApp, highlighted the value of human insight: “Focus on judgment as a core skill you bring. It’s what separates a great product leader from the rest, and it can’t be taken away.” His perspective served as a powerful reminder that while technology accelerates execution, critical thinking remains the true driver of innovation.
May is already off to an exciting start, don’t miss out!
In April, our NYC space brought together leaders across marketing, product, and AI for conversations grounded in what’s working right now.
At Marketing Evenings, Gabe Lekorenos (Strava) shared how brands can build partnerships rooted in community, relevance, and real user value: “When you allow brands to have a presence within a community, it comes with a lot more guidelines and responsibility. You have to honor what that community has built.”
At AI Evenings, Andrii Olefirenko (Meta) broke down what it takes to move AI from prototype to production, with a focus on building systems that operate at scale in real-world environments.

April at BrainStation Toronto brought together product and design leaders to dive into how cross-functional teamwork is changing in the age of AI and agentic tools.
Over the past month, experts from Loblaw Digital, Scotiabank, Dropbox, Mastercard, and Intuit shared their experiences with our community, covering everything from delivering big value with limited resources, to how agentic coding is reshaping design, and what it takes to build ecosystems for scale.
A major theme throughout the month was how the lines between traditional disciplines are starting to merge. During our Leaders in Product panel, Andrew D’Abreu, Director of Product Management at Intuit, captured this shift perfectly: “The roles are blurring—traditional PMs, design, and engineering. The lanes are like a highway that’s now laneless. Whoever can grab the ball and fix the problem first, wins. You’re no longer blocked by a bottleneck or a chain of command.”
A huge thank you to our amazing speakers and community for such an engaging month of conversations. We can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events in May!
BrainStation is more than a place to learn, it’s a space to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships beyond the office.
