The PPP has its own hair that I can style each week or month. I have a few braids left and a lil curl and dip for her ends to finish the curtain in full. However, I’m excited to now debut my hair curtain to you all. I’ve been working on it for some time along with my wonderful friend @anfisss who contributed tremendously to this project. I couldn’t thank him enough for his time and patience with helping me create the PPP hairdo. I will be using this as a watermark backdrop (like the red lockers when I first started years ago) to create photos and reels authenticating that it was done here at The PPP. This is a one and only and I’m thankful for that 💯 What y’all think… do yall like it. From here on out. Awar told you her story, here’s my truth: I started doing hair due to heartache. I asked my Facebook friends to allow me 10 people (kids at the time) to do their hair. The hairstyle would be free to give me the availability to do whatever I wanted. I posted them (those are the first ten photos of this page if you make it down there lol). I went from house to house gaining clients to build my brand literally by hand. Then I went into the shop. Doing all my “pretty pies” hair in front of “the red lockers” took off. While working a “day job” I did hair after work. Tired and all, I thanked my clients and God constantly. At the same shop (Emory rose) I met a hairstylist named @jawaraw who introduced me to the fashion industry. As he made a great name for himself doing hair, he held the door open for a few hairstylist friends to join the industry along side him. As we all worked with him, a shift happened. Some wavered and some trickled in and out, but I stayed. The models loved me, my quick talent and started coming to me before shows. I started working with an AMAZING group of talented hairstylist. We all assist THE “FATHER OF HIGH FASHION HAIR” @guidopalau . While still doing hair in Harlem, I started traveling the world and gaining insight on fashion hair and learning the ways of way from the best! A few years later after meeting wonderful people in the industry, @awarodhiang a beautiful wonderful spirited fashion model asked me to do her hair for her first MET GALA sponsored by @chanelofficial . I’ve done hair for the Met before, I’ve always worked as an assistant. This time, Awar afforded me the opportunity to headline my own way as LEAD STYLIST for her hair for the world’s most biggest fashion night. I thank everyone and everything that has ever happened to me when I chose to do hair. Something I’ve always done. Believing in myself is what I needed. Speak life into yourself.. for I AM A TRUE BELIEVER. I’m so thankful to GOD forever first, for these hands God gave me, and to all of you who never stop. Quick true story… Working together for some time, Queen asked me if I knew someone who knew how to braid her locs, knowing I never did this and said yeah me..Lol!!
