He ended up getting to my house at around 1 a.m. in Bellingham, and the airline had lost his bags and boards. We joined up with the group in Glacier early the next morning and ended up having to dig through Sarge’s spider-infested storage shed at the cabin to find a board for Keegs. We found this old-ass tank of a 2x10 for a board that had some crazy-looking wakeboard bindings on it from years past and called it good. I honestly don’t even know what he ended up doing for boots, but we hit the slopes. It was probably around 10 years ago or so that @patrickmccarthy hired me to shoot some promo imagery to help tease the signing of @jetskiwhite who would become the first skier @686 added to their snow team. It feels as if it was just yesterday but at the same time it doesn’t at all. The days on slope since have become a blur of images captured and moments shared with the most eclectic group of individuals I’ve ever had the honor to be around. It’s these moments that will forever stick with me. It’s also these moments that fill hard drives upon hard drives on my desk that constantly stare me in the face and remind me of how I need to share more, write more, and contribute more to the “sport” and the lifestyle that has given me so much. Here’s a few of those moments from one of those hard drives that I captured for 686 last winter on the mighty slopes of @themtbakerskiarea alongside the people that will always make my cup full and my smile brim from ear to ear. Thanks for keeping this old dog young. TwentyTwenty4 passed by quicker than a hot splash in my underpants after some rapid intestinal liquefaction following a pit stop at Ronnie McDonnies on the way to the airport. Crazy how each year passes just a little quicker than the previous. For me it’s almost as if all the days are starting to rapidly absorb into the liquid matter that was once my brain. After typing those first few sentences I realized I’m apparently becoming highly liquid with my advancing age. Liquidity is a good thing in the financial world so hopefully it is in human anatomy. That said I just realized I never made a single “hard post” (as the kids call it) during the entirety of 2024 but that’s fine with me, since as you read in the previous sentences, I’m becoming rather liquid and liquid after all is not hard, that is unless you freeze it. Although I might be liquifying at a rapidly accelerating pace It doesn’t mean I’m no longer living hella hard yo! I’ve just been finding a lot more meaning living a little more off this screen and a little more out in the tangible moments of life just as I knew it as a kid back in the 1960’s. 2024 was epic but isn’t every year? I’m just gonna keep trying to wake up and make my bed every morning (even if my wife’s still sleeping in it) and go from there. Every day is a new opportunity. Let it lead you somewhere righteous in 2025. These are just some randomly selected moments of my liquid life I choose to freeze hard during 2024 spent on the slopes in Washington and BC for @686 with some of my favorite people. This winter has been off to a great start and can’t wait for more. Love you guys! #snowboarding #liquify

I spent some time on set last winter working with local ABC News affiliate FOMO News 4 while they were filming an investigatory journalistic piece on SKIBOARDING and it’s influence on Blackmarket Lutefisk sales. After months of tedious research there was found to be absolutely no connection between illegal dried cod sales and skiboarding so with that ABC gave editor/producer/breakdancer/cinematographer Brendon Hupp of Prestige Worldwide the green light to shift gears and make a film about about a couple dudes ripping sticks in the snow. With that, Camp Robbers was born. Although the crew never got to sample any delicious lutefisk they did get to eat a lot of tasty pow along the way and a good time was had by all.
