We were honoured to receive a Saint John Heritage Award last night, for the first phase of our office facade revitalization. Congratulations to all of the award winners, and kudos to the @cityofsaintjohnnb and their Heritage Committee for recognizing the importance of our built heritage. Thank you to Debortoli Masonry for the meticulous restoration of our brick!

Congratulations to Karly, who became a fully licensed landscape architect this week! This well-earned milestone is a testament to Karly’s growth, hard work, and devotion to her practice over the past couple of years. You can always count on Karly to speak for the trees.

Celebrating Avery today, on his last day with Brackish – he has been an integral part of our team over the past 2 years – a modelling and rendering expert, a thoughtful designer, and boots-on-the-ground in Nova Scotia. We know we’ll still be able to find him wherever he is, by following the sound of his booming voice and the trail of sour cream-glazed Timbits. We’re sad to see him go, but wish him the very best as he embarks on a new chapter outside of landscape!

A slice in the coastal bank provides a destination and perch from which to view the Atlantic, on this stunning Cape Breton property. We are excited to see our Ocean Bluff House collaboration near completion. More to come.

As part of HRM’s Brunswick St. Complete Streets project, we are excited to see construction begin on a new public space at the intersection of Brunswick & Sackville this year. The plaza will incorporate amphitheatre seating built into Citadel Hill, seating and planting areas in the plaza, and elements that reference the multi-layered history of this prominent corner.

A sneak peek at our Bluff House project in Cape Breton, currently under construction. A dry-laid local sandstone wall grounds the landscape and defines the sheltered rear courtyard, while directing water around the house and into a new rain garden situated in the open, windswept coastal meadow on the water side of the house.
