TOMORROW night we are rocking @pearlstreet.dc for the first time ever along with the friendliest of friends - @accidentsdc and @curse_words !!!
However, we want to address the ongoing occupation in DC because the safety of our friends is always top priority!
We would love to see as many friends out at the tomorrow, not just to support local music, but to send a message that Trump's occupation can't break our community.
The reality of this occupation is scary and unpredictable, so we totally understand if this deters anyone from making the journey out. Take care of you first and we'll see you at the next one!
If you are coming out, plan ahead!
- Know your rights (1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments)
- plan for possible checkpoints
- write the name + number of a trusted emergency contact and public defender on your arm
- use passwords for phones / logins, not fingerprint
- it is NOT ILLEGAL to film and document law enforcement
