Élodie Lecat, aka 'Valentine Branca', is a French artist who splits her time between Paris and the mountains. After several years dedicated to the Chinese language and the study of classical Chinese poetry, she began composing experimental sound pieces ~ a resonance chamber for her artistic practice. In her performances, composite and mismatched, she blends random soundscapes with recorded, sampled and sung sources, over eclectic and improvised rhythms.
