What a runâ¨
âRevolution! 250 Years of Art & Activismâ has officially closed after 26 unforgettable weeksâwelcoming 98,185 visitors into a powerful exploration of Bostonâs revolutionary history. Weâre deeply grateful to the Libraryâs curators and staff, who brought the BPLâs renowned Special Collections to life through more than 100 artworks and documentary materials.
âRevolution!â was supported by the Boston Public Library Fund as part of a major philanthropic investment to renovate and reimagine the Central Libraryâs historic McKim Building.
Together, we did it! đ
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, over 530 donors helped raise $103,250 in celebration of National Library Week to support the Boston Public Library.

Incredible afternoon to close out National Library Week! đ
We had a full house to view the PBS documentary âThe Librariansâ along with a panel discussion of local library leaders, moderated by @bplboston President David Leonard. Protecting the freedom to read is essential for a healthy democracy and the @bplfund was proud to support this screening to shine a light on book banning.
In these final hours of National Library Week, now is the time to show your support of libraries and make a gift at bplfund.org. Link in bio.
