Video: BP Fallon & David Holmes - ‘Henry McCullough’.
Record Store Day 9 years ago.
We had a Record Store Day hit, David Holmes & I, with the Limited Edition 12” record ‘Henry McCullough’ - music by David plus amazing mixes by Andrew Weatherall bless him, lyrics by me spoken off the top of my head with nothing written down, my tribute to a dearest friend whose funeral I’d attended earlier in the day.
Time flies.
Is time our enemy or our friend?

Thinking of Clem Burke, gone a year and a day ago.
Clem, it was special making music with you. And I'm so glad we got back together the ace Blondie rhythm section of you and Nigel. We had such fun both live and in the studio and some good solid rocking. We'll have more when the time comes.

I am honoured to have been invited to be part of the art project to benefit the Simon Community who care for homeless people, the project organised by John O’Donnell.
In Trinity College in Dublin I wrote a poem/prayer on one brick mould and some words on another.
The brick moulds will be given to painters and the final results auctioned for Simon Community.
Other people who have taken part are Bono, Imelda May, Tommy Tiernan, Glen Hansard, Gavin Friday and Cillian Murphy.

George Harrison - guitar
Yoko Ono - sanitary towel, knitting needles
Mal Evans - tambourine (live)
Klaus Voorman - bass
BP Fallon - phantom bass (live)
Alan White - drums
I’ve already had a lot of mega fun in my life - and this is right up there, ‘playing’ bass in John Lennon’s group on Top Of The Pops.
“Instant Karma” John said. “Instant Calmer” I said. Both are true. Blessings & amen.

This picture of Bob Dylan hanging out with Patsy Dennehy and yours truly is nothing to do with me talking on the podcast Travel Tales With Feargal about how I was completely utterly totally blown away by Bob Dylan & The Hawks aka The Band at the Adelphi Cinema in Dublin in 1966, when Dylan ‘went electric’.
Basically I’m talking about my Five Fave Gigs - stuff about Sinead and Shane and Jimi and somehow I got in seven fab faves. It’s vibey verbal and Feargal’s cool - link in bio.

17 years ago? My God.
Shane & me DJing at Death Disco Belfast. It was, as you can imagine, a wild night.
We had quite a few. A special wondrous music-fuelled madness.
And Shane was a great DJ, too.
