There is a profound difference between hiding and holding space.
When we took NDG into the raw, concrete silence of that underground carpark, the goal wasn’t to manufacture a persona. It was to capture the weight of the quiet. In a world that demands constant expression and immediate access to an artist’s inner thoughts, there is power in the impenetrable.
A single light. The cold flash of gold and silver against the shadows. The cross resting as a silent anchor. By obscuring his eyes behind black lenses, we aren’t losing the connection—we are shifting the focus to the vibration of his presence.
In this frame, NDG isn’t performing for the lens. He is simply occupying his own gravity. We often think of portraits as a way to “see” someone, but sometimes the most truthful image is the one that reminds us that we are only ever seeing one layer of the depth beneath.

I spend my days encouraging you to step into the light, but, I still struggle to be the face of my own brand. Yes, this is true. It’s a quiet battle that goes on behind the scene.
